The idea of removing the oil seals doesn't make any sense. The friction for the seals will give a damping effect, in which case, you will have to add this back with the damping adjustment. This WILL result in the lubricating oil ejecting itself from the fork and probably end up on the brake disc (or rotor if you are in North America).
Also, this guy didn't mention that, by adding damping to your suspension, be it car, bike etc, you increase the force that is transmitted to you, the passenger. This is also true for spring rate.
This is just something to bear in mind.

all good info but he mentions that you shouldnt F with the knobs until you have the right coils, then you shouldnt F with the knobs (besides preload) until you have the right sag...... so what do you do if you dont know if someone else has changed things around in the shop you bought the bike from or if you got it second hand. If a knob has 20 clicks back and forth do you start your adjustments with it in the middle at 10?? i think this needs to be touched on

for example, i have a session 10 that i bough used, but i also just bought a brand new scratch 9. so lets say i picked up my scratch 9 from the shop and the mechanics had spun every little knob back and forth on the rc4 and on the 36 vans... where would i start to make sure things are in order... ?? all these suspension videos were made assuming that all suspension had not been tampered with before they were in the consumers hands it seems. a little clarification please.
