Norco Introduces a New Look DH Race Division
@onawalk: I think it makes sense. Their old team was floundering and languishing, few to no real wins/podiums/good results and minimal marketing exposure for an exorbitant cost. They decided it's not worth it in the old setup.
Then comes Greg looking for a contract. I'm sure his salary is much higher than they were paying their previous athletes, but the overall cost of running a WC DH team is largely in the travel and logistics, with salaries being a line item within that total budget. They made the call that it would be worth it sign Greg and continue on, instantly gaining a ton of recognition and marketing appeal. I applaud them for the decision, and when you get an opportunity to snag the GOAT, you take it!

Norco Introduces a New Look DH Race Division
Same, especially when the other option, that a lot of teams seem to have taken, is shut down the team.

First Look: Crankbrothers Release SOS Line of Trailside Repair Tools
My setup is tools in the headtube via OneUp EDC/Spec Swat, then tire fixings mounted to a bottle mount with the WolfTooth Rad system or SWAT Storage.
The OneUp EDC has a multitool, chain breaker, tire lever, and quick link. Then my tire kit is a CO2 cartridge, inflator, and dynaplug. If I can't fix a flat with that, I'm walking out.
Works great to piece together your own, but this does look like a really nice package. Much more convenient than building it yourself, and they did a good job of giving you a lot of options.

First Ride: Revel Rascal V2
@valrock: Personally I draw the line of being a dick about it at larger than 2.6 tires. 2.6 can be a reasonable tire size in particular climates, such as the desert, and for more moderate riders. Not everyone is shredding the gnar bro, and 2.6 is a very nice capable size for some.
But ya, bigger than 2.6, get some skillzzzz.

I wouldn't call it complaining, but I did chuckle when he mentioned that the berms were getting blown out.

RockShox Trek Race Team Disbands, Confirms Rumour That Vali Höll Will Be On New Team for 2024
@Starch-Anton: The big difference I'm pointing out is that F1 pays the teams at the end of the year based on result, aka 1st gets $millions, second gets a bit less, so forth. In WC DH, the teams get nothing at the end of the year, so there's no financial incentive for them to race outside of advertising.
