This September, West Virginia’s Snowshoe Mountain will host the first UCI MTB World Cup event on US soil since 2015. For American racers and fans, the chance to see a World Cup event without a passport is a rare treat. This past weekend, the Downhill Southeast Finals took place at Snowshoe Bike Park, giving several American World Cup racers an opportunity to check out the race course the folks in WV are putting together. Everybody got together Friday night with photographer Kurtis Schachner for a sunset session on the new booter at the top of the course.

To help with the World Cup course build, Snowshoe brought in Windrock's Sean Leader, who knows how to make his jumps look good in a wide variety of ways.

World Cup racers Neko Mulally and Dak Norton were both in town for the Downhill Southeast Finals. Snowshoe brought Neko in as a consultant this past spring, taking advantage of his experience as a trail builder and a racer.

It s hard to beat a Snowshoe sunset.

Nothing like a little sibling rivalry to spice things up. Logan Mulally wasn't about to let Neko have all the fun.

On Saturday, the Downhill Southeast crowd headed back to the top of the course for a good old fashioned whip-off.
