Video: The Trek Factory Racing DH Team Preps for the Season & Loris Vergier Has a Prototype Session
@ajaxwalker: the UCI banned unibody bicycle frames like the Lotus 108 back in the 90s because they brought an "unfair" aerodynamic advantage over traditional "two triangle" frame construction. There is real time to be gained through aerodynamics in any discipline, but in a 3 minute downhill race for the world's fastest riders, reducing turbulence over the front triangle is likely only a very small marginal gain (tenths of seconds?). I'm willing to wager the teams using diapers/fairings have done timed testing, and equally willing to bet they're not going to publish the results, not least because they don't want to give the UCI any ideas.

Must Watch: Alex Storr Ripping Home Turf on the Dreadnought V2
Paint job so nice, makes me want to sell my current bike. Neither will let me ride this fast, but colors on this Dread V2 are pure joy even standing still.

iXS Releases New Trigger X Helmet
@Hakkapelitta: recently bought a $100 Lazer Coyote to replace my Spec. Ambush (discontinued replacement pads). So far fit & ventilation have been every bit as good at less than half the price. Have also been pleasantly surprised that Coyote pads do an even better job of hitting that goldilocks balance between comfort, sweat retention, & keeping sweat out of eyes.

iXS Releases New Trigger X Helmet
They already make a half lid and this is not it. This is a minus-3/4 lid. All the sweaty minuses of FF padding around your ears, plus all the minuses of no chinbar. Adds up to a package only logic-impaired fashion victims would pay for.

Photo Story: Matt Fairbrother Wins NZ MTB Rally Entirely Self-Supported
It's not just the athleticism, Fairbrother embodies the ethos and spirit that forged this sport in ways we haven't seen in a single individual in a long, long time. Self-reliance, fortitude, sacrifice, adventure, risk, trailblazing. To see him breathe the full force of this spirit back into the specialized world of modern gravity racing makes this 40yr veteran of the sport grin like a kid as I get to my feet to applaud. Standing ovation kid!

Video: Kriss Kyle Tackles 4 Seasons in Cappadocia for 'Turkish Delight'
Almost every travel part Bron has ever put out has been amazing. That said, just because "Follow the Light" stole the drone-w-flare follow-sequence from the 2019 ski flick Heatseeker did not invalidate the whole project as a "knockoff." For that matter, Candide Thovex ripped some of the exact same lines in Cappadocia in 2018 that Bron did in 2021, and did things in air that Bron couldn't touch. And Thovex was *on skis,* sans snow, and got the same damn balloons in his part. Did that invalidate Bron's effort? Hell no. Locations can be revisited, and the results can still be awesome. Bron's approach was more freeracer & directional, and leveraged night shots w/ the flames in balloons. Kyle's part was much more jibby, drifty, off-axis, and leveraged a winter backdrop that even Thovex didn't get to "first." Breathe deep, repeat after me: "they're all awesome, and I wish I could be so unoriginal as to ride there too."
