Dario's Final Sea Otter Randoms
"Hand guards on the e-gravel townie bike really get the people going." ---He's wearing an S&M hat, so he gets a pass.

Video: Carbon Chainrings & BMX Inspired Enduro Bikes from Sea Otter
@tremeer023: Yeah, they were very heavy and overbuilt for longest time, but that was in response to the underbuilt Haros/GTs/Bullys of the era. It was cool though, they brought about a big shift in riding towards indoor mini-ramps, which I still prefer (maybe more so now that I'm older).

@SIZ: I had a WAL for all of 2 mins. Built up the frame and fork, which admittedly still look cool, but for me the geometry was without a doubt the worst I had ever ridden. Promptly took it apart and sold it. :( Still like Ron W. and WAL/2-Hip though.

Call me old school but, I would not consider my '91 Haro Master or Sport frames to be overbuilt. In fact, they were so underbuilt that I bought a Standard Industries (that's right, that's how old I am) Shorty and never looked back. Now, their frames during the Mira/Nyquist eras were over-built, but I think most people associate Haro with their earlier days (or maybe it's just me).

Juin's 6 Piston Semi-Hydraulic Brakes - Taipei Cycle Show 2024
Whenever I think of 6-piston calipers I'm reminded of the 6-piston calipers that Suzuki used to have and then stopped. The way I think of it - if 6-piston calipers were the wave then you'd see them in MotoGP - newsflash - they aren't there.

Shimano Files Patent Detailing Machine Learning for Automatic Suspension Control
@brianpark: Wow, you're right - that story was from 2019. No idea why that was in my feed today. Never mind, carry on. :D

Interesting you guys post this and not the info about their new patent for the internal gear box (bikeradar did though).

First Look: Haro Returns With the Saguaro Hardtail
@NRZ: As well it should honestly. That's not a great look when you send a bike to YT content creator to generate what you hope to be good press and you send them the wrong size frame. Doesn't inspire confidence in their current logistics stack, but probably just a one-off mess up. As someone who rode Haro's exclusively until Standard Bykes came out I want them to get back in the game in MTB.

First Look: Haro Returns With the Saguaro Hardtail
@NRZ: I think he said he got a pre-production bike and in the video he implies someone at Haro didn't ensure he was sent the proper size. Not sure if it was a mis-labeled frame or something else.
