Just want to enjoy the outdoors and benefit from modern equipment. Lately that translates to a good hardtail. Anything more I will just buy the ktm streat legal dirtbike. No ebike for me on trails, but if people like them, ride them! I coexist with horses, hikers, or kx500. Just be polite to other trail users.

Ari Releases Updated Cascade Peak Aluminum Trail Bike
what is wrong with it? room for a good dropper, no yoke or trunnion, decent geo, great pricing vs most of the junk these days...looks like the ripmo AF everybody shat their pants over last 3 years, now we hate dvo? cmon guys. and on a budget! is it the suspension brand? maybe cause no motor... ton better than that rossi ski company junk we seen yesterday. this is a great entry level real bike.

Trailforks Introduces New 'Traildar' Feature
Is there some way this app can emit and slather rasberry/huckleberry perfume all over the rider while navigating? The smell is so delightful when visiting the mountains. I enjoy huckleberry body balm, rasberry shampoo, and a fine romp through yonder woods amongst the grizzlies. Occasionally I will stop for lunch and munch salmon caviar whilst checking my battery status and updated trail map. I do get lost in the kom data and specifics about go left/ or go right, but picture taking rapture and mountain revelry is my feed focus these days.

What makes it mine is the knowledge of parts gone to the point I can't in good conscience sell it to someone else. Frayed stretched cable end, burnt rear tire with a plug, wiggle at the shock bushing, re trued hop wheel that should be tossed. Deferred maintenance I am ok riding, knowing it will definetly make a few more routine laps. It will kick into the gear clean if I just hit the shifter right ( while backed off pedal pounding) No point tryin to rebuild the clutch, straighten the cage or rebuild the wheel, they all dumpster bound in next 500 miles. That rough bearing, cracked seat rail, trash water bottle cage, a few stripped bolts, motor oil in the lowers thin pads...Box full of stuff ready for the day I skip riding to swap out toasted parts...powdered sealant in the tire, stripped spoke etc. That drive train need a new cassette, new chain, new chainring but f++k it! Wont even let others try it cause they just don't know that ceramic piston has a crack up front. Excellent for thieves to learn on though.

Video: Chain Reaction Cycles Bids Farewell in 'The Final Send'
I ordered a nukeproof mega on sale. So cheap I went with it rather than the hardtail I planned. A fine bike, rode very well in extremely rough terrain, full deore, yari, super deluxe, alloy frame 2400 shipped. The michelin tires super knobbies and sun ringle wheels with cassette weighed close to as much as a high end xc hardtail it seemed. A bear to get uphill with. They shipped it very fast in the largest box I have ever seen. 8 feet long 5 feet tall. Across the atlantic. No way they could make money doin that. The guy I sold it to loves it. I kind of miss it, till I head uphill, then not so much. Had to be close to 40lbs, and the yari was like riding a jackhammer.
