How Tight? Examining the UCI's Clothing Rules for DH Racing
@FoxRedLabs, the rules don’t say ‘must be sold to the general public’ - if a team buys the clothing from Fox, well, then it was sold for use in a downhill event.

No - it's a two piece. It's a long sleeve jersey with tight coverall pants worn over it. It's definitely getting close to the edge of that rule, since it's essentially a sleeveless skinsuit with a long sleeve jersey underneath.

How Tight? Examining the UCI's Clothing Rules for DH Racing
@R-M-R, agreed - there are lots of wide open, high speed sections where positioning and clothing could make a difference.

How Tight? Examining the UCI's Clothing Rules for DH Racing
@mi-bike, I used Fort William as an example because that's where the race is this weekend. At Les Gets last year the difference between 1st and 5th place was just 0.65 seconds - if milliseconds don't matter, hundredths of a second certainly do.

I mean, I'd probably watch robot racing. Maybe that's how four-cross can finally make a comeback...

Vivo Cycling Previews All-Aluminum 12-Speed Derailleur
This isn't an advertorial - the creator of the derailleur sent over a few photos and I thought it looked interesting, so I wrote it up.

I'd rather that people are commenting to complain about it. Otherwise, the companies doing it might think that it's acceptable.

Vivo Cycling Previews All-Aluminum 12-Speed Derailleur
@warmerdamj, there could definitely be a cable version - you can even see a drawing of one in this patent drawing from SRAM: https://www.pinkbike.com/news/sram-granted-patent-for-drivetrain-with-a-direct-mount-derailleur.html. Not having limit screws or b-tension adjustment isn't related to the electronic shifter - that's part of the derailleur design. The cable running from the shifter would just be there to move the derailleur up or down the cassette, the same as the current shifter does wirelessly. I'm hoping SRAM releases one eventually - a battery-free version would be great.

I mean, "Vivo Previews a Mostly Aluminum Derailleur With a Few Tiny Rubber Seals and Some Titanium" is a pretty clunky title.
