Mtb suspension Servicing and Custom tuning in Ireland

Here at Mad Elk Cycles, BOS authorized suspension service / warranty centre and probably the first after-market susp. service in Ireland. We announce new business partner, Andreani Group International, an Italian company the official Öhlins Italian distributor, that makes and sell after markets parts to improve Motocycles, Cars and MTB suspension performance. They have realized how important it is for riders to customize suspension performance, when factory setting does not suits the riding style or the type of trail. The need to have their suspension custom tuned, have led to manufacturing totally new set of shims stack and high flow piston kit. The piston kit was developed In partnership with Öhlins, using basics of their advanced suspension technology.

It is available for following forks :
FOX FIT CTD 32, 34, 36 and 40mm,
Marzocchi 38mm,
RockShox Brain 32 and 35 mm,
RockShox Boxxer 35mm,
RockShox Pike 35mm,
Cannondale Lefty XLR/PBR,
Cannondale Lefty 2.0 and
Cannondale Lefty Supermax.

​​It comes complete with a bottle of high flow oil, grade 7.5w specific for MTB use and with 2 different settings to choose for - hard and soft (intermediate)
Hard:
This setting will find friendly the most of the riders who are seeking for mid travel stability specially in corners and if they need stiffer fork before take off's (jump transitions). Also it suits the riders on the heavier side.

Soft ( Intermediate ):
This setting is suitable to riders who prefer more plushness reaching even at higher levels of the stroke, but still have advantage of progressiveness towards the stroke end.

The main benefits of this Boost flow Piston conversion is an increased sensitivity in first inch of travel. That means that the fork is very sensitive / plush on small harsh bumps, just like roots and loose rocks. In other words the front wheel keeps at ground with better traction. This results in a less vibration transferred on handlebars, which prevents the pain in the forearm. Also other advantage is when the fork gets through its travel it is progressive towards the end of the stroke, where rider will find the wanted support platform rather bottom outs.

This piston is made with an Ergal expanded oil passages.

The RockShox Pike RC fork is being converted to hard setting as rider is over 110 KG riding weight and he prefers to have the fork firmer.
