Video: The Gnarliest Enduro Race Section?
The slab isn't too hard to ride in good conditions at a slow pace. It's when you try to race it that it gets gnarly. The worst part is the consequences of getting it wrong. You don't really appreciate it from the video, but a fall there could be as high as a four story building. That one guy was so lucky to come out of that without a big injury. From where he went down was probably a 20+ foot drop onto nastiness.

@vinay: I hear you about the short technical climbs. A lot of the time I have a 40+ minute climb to get to the descent. Standing and mashing that long would likely blow out one of my old knees.;)

OneUp Components' Travel-Adjustable Dropper Post - First Ride
@vinay: I used to ride non-dropper posts and lower with the quick release as you do. Thought people were crazy adding so much weight to the bike. And dropper posts were very expensive then. Then I bought a bike that came with one. Only 125mm drop. Within 2 rides I was a convert. Where I ride, Squamish BC, most trails have up and down components. So, to save stopping several times on the trail, you had to choose either up or down. Up, things got very hard on sketchy descents. Down, you wore your legs out on some of the climbs. Get off and adjust the post each time and you lost your riding buddies who weren't stopping.
Life is so much better with the dropper. Right up there with modern disk brakes and longer travel modern suspension.

Scott Genius 710 Carbon Modified for BC riding
$2500 CADCarbon front triangle! Super fun bike! Extremely well maintained. Several upgrades. Marzocchi CR 350 fork, Raceface Sixc carbon bar, Chromag Hifi stem, XT 1x11 conversion, Rockshox Monarch plus shock, Chris King bottom bracket. Also included are a spare derailleur hanger, Rockshox Reverb service kit, the original Fox 'Nude' shock and a Marzocchi 053 S3C2R shock (in need of rebuild, but fully worth it from a performance point of view).
The bike is in excellent condition and shouldn't need much in the way of maintenance for about 6 months of hard riding. Hard to sell this one. It's so much fun, but the new bike is here and it has to go. THIS BIKE MUST BE SEEN TO BE APPRECIATED! Looks nearly new. Far out performs stock edition. Better suspension. Better drivetrain. Better cockpit. Better tires.

@colemanb: I haven't had that issue. Only becomes a problem if you go up or down a steep driveway.

There is an adapter bar you can get that attaches from your stem to your seatpost. Makes life so much easier. I have the bones rack that holds 3 bikes. Maybe if they were skinny road bikes. I can get 2 bikes on there. On mine, the tube the arms attach to is aluminum and there are 4 arms. It works pretty well and installs in less than 2 minutes. I got mine because it would be too costly to install a trailer hitch and then get a trailer mounted rack.
