Review: KS Lev Circuit Wireless Dropper Post
@pmhobson: some bike shop guy has a hypothesis that when fox updated the post, they reworked how the nitrogen is filled into the post. he claimed the nozzle used to add the nitrogen is thinner than previous versions and, due to the amount of applications each nozzle is used for, weakens at the bend, thus less nitrogen in the post without the person knowing it. not sure if the hypothesis holds air, but certainly the post doesn't.

Review: KS Lev Circuit Wireless Dropper Post
I'm running a fox transfer v2 (factory) and the return speed on it is what i describe as slow. my wife rides the same post (albeit not the factory) and it returns quicker. i have had issue with mine returning fully and i wonder if it was faster, it might have more momentum to return completely. I did have it rebuilt by fox and it came back more or less the same as when i shipped it out. and yes, the torque on the seatpost collar is to spec and i've basically tried everything to make it a better post.

Alicia Leggett's 2024 Predictions
@sino428: of course its a more complicated issue than being greedy. like i said, i don't know much about the industry on this level it just strikes me as something you would want to mitigate (b/c you know its coming) as much as possible before the reckoning that sadly will come (and has) for some companies. from my armchair perspective it looked like a disaster waiting to happen and i'm merely a consumer. that being said, there's BOGO bikes for people to buy which is good for the sport (longer discussion for sure but lets stay somewhat positive), possibly OK for the companies, and hopefully for trail advocacy (more voices, anyway). perhaps the ebike revolution has some play in this ongoing shift in the industry, which is something talked about extensively in these chats and worth exploring.

Alicia Leggett's 2024 Predictions
i'm no financial wizard but how does the industry see the record spike in sales and not associate it with everything going on at that particular time? i knew it wasn't gonna have the staying power and i know a lot of other people knew that too. it wasn't a secret that due to covid people were finding inspiration to take to the outdoors and of course mtb saw benefit in that. but even then, once you buy a bike, you're probably not going to buy another just like that. (i realize that might not apply in the PB comments section, but the general public hears me mention a $6k bike and they gasp. and i also realize that a $6k bike is something ridiculous in its own right but that's a discussion for another time. point is, most people buy a bike and they're just fine with it for a long enough time to not buy another.) anyway, happy new year PB and alicia and keep on keepin on. or don't. its a comment section.

Qualifying Analysis from the Leogang DH World Cup 2023
@edspratt: i would also recommend looking at other interesting statistics that might make more sense to the reader and make it mean something. regression analysis can show the relationship between variables that might be worth exploring. sample size is always important and i realize you're probably not a statistician but i think you're on to something with these reports. kudos!

Qualifying Analysis from the Leogang DH World Cup 2023
again, i know its a mtb blog, but some of these charts are super frustrating. why aren't all axis labeled? what does the color change in the 'Time Difference to Leader' mean? is that 60 seconds on the x-axis? the point of a chart is to quickly and concisely get the point across and i'm sitting here feeling like i missed something. i do like the effort in trying to get some metrics but it needs to makes sense to the reader.

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: The Bike Park Protection Pinkbike's Editors Actually Wear
I started wearing a chest protector after some broken ribs on a trail ride. It wouldn't have helped, as I don't typically wear much armor on local rides, so I roll the dice. However, in a park setting it seems silly to not wear it, along with a fullface, knee and elbow pads. Nothing like doing 25 mph and making the slightest of mistakes and getting helicoptered out.
