I once had a nasty crash while racing. I seriously thought that i had broken the riders neck!
Just look at the link to see front tyre vs neck
Both the other rider and i were ok.
The rider i landed was fine and back on his bike only days later ( so I heard).
And i was three weeks in bed with a bruised spine and broken toes.

Trackwalk - Cairns DH World Cup 2
Ive ridin this track in the dry... most riders won't even be able to get down without a serious crash or getting off at some point. It is very fast with tight switch backs a nasty rock garden and massive set downs. I think it is going to make for a very interesting race. Bring on Saturday i say!

Yeah i know right.... i thought that i had killed him for sure!
The funny thing about it was that he ended up better after the crash then i did.
He was back on his bike in a few days, with a few bumps and bruises and i was 3 weeks off my bike.
