'Ride Giant. Ride Whistler' Video Contest Winner Announced...
Goodness gracious me!! He is lucky not to be dead....the bike he was riding, the way he was riding it is akin to playing Russian roulette!! He deserves the bike, more as a Health & Safety requirement more than anything else!! Well done my man....a worthy winner!

Aug 18, 2011Commencal Furious CG Short
$1350 GBPHello and welcome to the advert for my (hopefully soon to be yours!) Commencal (FreeRide/ Downhill) bike. I built this bike myself (i`m a pretty dab hand at all things bicycle), it is an amazing bike and in fantastic condition. Its also had very little use, i have ridden it twice at Fort William and once at Wykeham in North Yorkshire. I bought all the parts over the period of a around four months with the full intention of riding it every week.....then divorce, more work, kids etc etc, any how....i digress. The spec is really top drawer, i genuinely hate crap bikes, so i wont own any!! Have a look below, i hope you agree;
Frame: Commencal Furious CG in Short with Marzocchi Roco WC shock fitted with Manitou Spring from TF
Forks: Rockshox Totem Coil (Red Spring fitted)
Front Wheel: Hope Pro 2 Hub in Gunmetal laced onto Sun MTX 29 welded rim
Rear Wheel: Ringle Jumping Flea 150mm Black Hub on a Sun MTX 29 welded rim
Stem: Thomson X4 50mm 1.5stem
Headset: Ringle Sealed 1.5
Seatpost: Thomson Elite
Handle Bars: Burgtec Ride Wide 750mm (super wide)
Brakes: Avid Elixer Levers and Calipers
Rotors: Hope Moto Floating Rotors 203mm
Crank: Shimano Saint (old super strong ones)
Bottom Bracket: Hope 83mm sealed BB
Chain Guard: E Thirteen bash guard and guide
Chain: KMC X9
Rear Derailluer: Shimano Saint (New)
Grips: Odi (Big fat Things)
Pedals: SMP Gunmetal Grey
The whole bike, if you were to build it again would cost well in excess of £3000. Its an awesome bike for someone with considerably larger balls than mine.
