First Ride: Fox Releases New Grip X & Grip X2 Dampers
Fox has upped the level of not-quite-Kashima gold colour clashing on bikes by designing a fork which clashes with itself. Kudos.

Transition TR11

$2800 GBP
It's a sad day. I've come the conclusion that it's time my DH bike went to a new home. It's an amazing bike, but I simply don't ride it anymore and it deserves more. Used for one Alps trip and maybe a dozen uplift days. I think it's the best looking of the not-super-boutique DH frames and offered here with a great build kit. The frame is a 2020 model, bought new in 2022 and built up using new and existing parts. Invisiframed from new. Frame size is an XL, but much more like a modern large, probably suiting 5'10 and up. If you buy this bike, you'll also benefit from my many hours already spent with the foam tubes and cable ties making it absolutely silent. Frame; 2020 Transition TR11 carbon size XL, Cane Creek Slamset headset, full Invisiframe Shock; Fox DHX2 Factory with 500lbs SLS spring Fork; Formula Nero C, medium spring fitted. 2 uplift days since last service by J-tech, supplied with the Formula top cap socket (~£40). High and low speed compression + rebound and preload. Small scuff on stanchion, has not accelerated seal wear. Slight clicking early in travel, coil tape has moved, will try to find time to move it back to correct this. Wheels; DT Swiss FR560 on Hope Pro 4 DH rear and Stans Neo front hub. Black brass nipples, rebuilt not long ago, rims are in excellent condition. For some reason the front is dished wrong, will correct. Tyres; Maxxis Assegai front and DHF rear, both are MaxGrip compound, DH casing and set up tubeless. Assegai is virtually new, DHF is on its way out, will swap for a new Michelin DH34 if asking price met. Brakes; Formula Cura 4 on 203mm rotors. Joint best brakes I've ever used, huge power, great feeling and low weight. Plus they look super slick. Cranks; SRAM X0 Carbon DH with 32t ring. Saint BB with Wheels mfg step down converter to GXP. Chain device; MRP Carbon. Lightweight and super strong integrated bash. Currently needs a replacement lower jockey wheel. Gearing; SRAM GX DH 7 speed. With the discontinuation of Zee, the only intelligent choice. Works perfectly, plenty life left. Bars; Spank Spike Vibrocore 800mm. Seems like a gimmick, really works Stem; some Deity thing with extra Burgtec direct mount stem spacers for extra bar height Grips; DMR Deathgrips Race Saddle; whatever you like from my box of saddles As you can see, the bike is in depressingly good condition with minimal use. There are a few stone chips in the BB area, but other than that it looks near new. All testing welcome. Not willing to ship. Let me know any questions or more details needed.

Renthal Fatbar carbon 780mm + Apex 50mm + Deathgrips

$120 GBP
Splitting my Scout and selling my Renthal+ DMR cockpit. Renthal Fatbar carbon 31.8mm clamp, cut to 780mm Renthal Apex stem 50mm DMR Deathgrips, flanged. I believe these are the sticky Race compound. Bars and stem are in good, used condition and have served me well. The grips are essentially new, used maybe three times. More and better photos to come

Dolan Preffisio 56cm Large

$350 GBP
Ordered a gravel bike to replace/upgrade the commuter, so this is now up for sale. Built three years ago from a second hand frame and mostly new parts. Alloy frame with external routing and carbon front fork. Frame has mounts for rear rack and mudguards, ideal for commuting and winter use. I'm not sure which year this frame is, but as far as I'm aware, Dolan haven't changed the geometry at all on the Preffisio (or maybe even any aspect of the frame) between when it was introduced and now. Hence, the current geometry chart on their website should still be accurate. Almost full Shimano Tiagra 4700 2x10 groupset with low wear. Tiagra 4600 front brake and Sora front mech. 170mm cranks with 50/34t chainrings, 11-28t cassette. Fulcrum Racing 00 wheelset bought new three years ago along with the Conti Ultra Sport tyres (28mm rear and 25mm front), 1000 miles on all. Running perfectly true. Deda 80mm stem and 440mm Zipp Ergo bars. Can swap to a more conventional 100mm stem as preferred. Seatpost and saddle will be standard alloy parts, not the carbon parts in the photos Excellent running order. May need a tune up but otherwise great condition and a perfect winter and/or commuting bike. £350 Ono collected from Newport, Shropshire. Not willing to post, but can probably meet up semi-locally. Any questions, let me know.
