@Velowebby: In the EWS the E-Bike race was doing a lot more than the standard category. Tweed valley 2022 it was 2800m E, 1800 standard. The EDR has seemed to have them just do the last stage twice but maybe they are doing more climbing and not using any lift transfers. Like most things EWS was doing it better

@TwoNGlenn: totally agree, I completely support transgender issues in general but not in women's sports under the current rules. If we ever come up with rules that genuinely allow an even playing field I would support it but we currently don't have that imo

You might not be able to determine how many bikes a rider helps sell but if you use some combination of; High level race wins, social media following and high profile video edits you likely can determine market value in relation to another rider. Personality and sadly for women, looks probably also play a part. If you are winning world cups/world Champs have 150k+ following on insta and your own edits on redbull you should and likely are getting paid more than some men

50k a year for somebody 20-30 who spends half the year on all expenses paid trips and gets free bikes, equipment and apparel probably isn't hard to live on

@luckynugget: couldn't agree more, grade reversal counter-turn opens the radius and slows riders down without braking. Splitting a 180 into 2 open turns with a short steep section in between creates such a better riding experience. If you have easily eroded soils put in an armored rock feature. Too much trail building being done by handbooks and people claiming "that's the only way my machine could do it".

E-Bike Battery Fires - Should You Be Worried?
@scott-townes: reality is burning oil in vehicles is a big problem. EVs are a poor solution to the problem. However given that the solution has to mostly come from privately owned companies in a free market its the best we are going to get in the short term unfortunately.
