Aug 16, 2022Transition Patrol, Carbon, Medium, 27.5: $3,000
$3000 USDTransition Patrol, 2019, medium frame size, 27.5" wheels, carbon frame. This bike absolutely rips - super poppy, playful, loves to jump, blasts through chunk, pedals uphill great, just fun all around. Taken it on every kind of riding imaginable - townie laps, epic rides, weeklong backcountry trips - you name it, this thing crushes! Riding great right now too, because stay on top of all maintenance and have done a whole lotta upgrades.
Upgrades include:
Industry Nine (I9) wheelset, Hydra Enduro S Boost, with I9 Hydra hubs (the kind that engage instantly when you pedal)
Rear wheel was rebuilt by I9 in August 2021
Brand new rear derailleur, total of three rides (yup, 3) on it. SRAM GX.
Brand new rear tire (Specialized Butcher), one (yes one) ride on it.
RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate Coil rear shock, 500lb spring
SRAM X01 chain, installed September 2021
e13 chain guide, installed June 2022
Serviced the fork May 2022, new oil, foam rings, etc.
Note that I'll also include the original air shock (Fox DPX2) if coil shocks ain't your thing, and original wheelset (Stan's Flow) at this price.
I've ridden this bike a lot, and there are cosmetic scratches to prove it, the things that tend to show up on bikes when you ride 'em as they're meant to be ridden.
Other noteworthiness:
Fox 36 fork (170mm travel)
Rear travel = 160mm coil shock
SRAM Code R brakes
SRAM GX drivetrain
Rockshox Reverb dropper seatpost (150mm)
SPD pedals
Maxxis Assegai front tire
I'll be selling directly from Steamboat Springs, happy to meet here somewhere or glad to ship it to you as well, you'll just need to pay for the shipping.

Apr 22, 2019Carbon Santa Cruz Nomad, size Medium
$2800 USD2015 Santa Cruz Nomad, carbon fiber, size medium, $2800. It's turquoise/pink color (cotton candy to some), which I'm pretty sure makes you ride faster. This sucker rips! 165mm of rear travel via Vivid Air RC2 shock, and a Rockshox Pike Solo Air fork up front with 160mm of travel. I've ridden it in every style of terrain imaginable and this bike kills it! Even climbs well for how much of a beast it is going downhill. This lovely lady has gotten me out of many hairy situations with its travel and geometry. I've kept great care of it
Some specs and details:
Upgraded the wheels to Stans MK3s a couple years ago
Rockshox Reverb dropper post
WTB Volt saddle
Shimano SLX brakes.
X1 shifters/drive
X1 cranks
11 speed, 1x drivetrain
Raceface Respond bars (800mm)
Maxxis Ardent 2.4 rear tire
Minion DHF 3C 2.5 tire up front
Shimano PD M785 XT pedals
Recent maintenance includes:
New bottom bracket, late summer 2018
New shifter cables, late summer 2018
New rear tire, late summer 2018
Front tire, mid-summer 2018
Regreased pivot points, late summer 2018
New Shimano XT cassette, early fall 2018
New Shimano chain, early fall 2018
New front chainring, early fall 2018
There's the normal amount of dings on it from regular riding, as you'll see in pics. The fork does leak a little bit, but in full disclosure I brought this up with Rockshox in 2016, which they didn't have a resolution for, and I've ridden it since then without having any actual fork performance issues.
All in all, a great way to get a well-maintained carbon fiber Nomad that crushes, plus a nice wheelset and solid specs.

Jul 30, 2018Black Dragon Dropper Seat Bag
$180 USDOnce-used Black Dragon Dropper Seat Bag, color Dark Camo. I bought this for a hut trip, tested it out once on my local trails, and it worked great... Then the night before the trip I put it on with my fully loaded pack and water, and the dropper bag buzzed my back wheel because of all the weight I was carrying. Turns out, doesn't work with a 165mm Nomad. Their website says you need 5" between saddle rails and the nearest point on your rear tire. I think it would work great with a lesser travel bike. I'm bummed it didn't work with mine, since it fits a bunch of stuff and doesn't sway at all when you're riding with it on. You're getting the full shebang with this - comes with a Wolf Tooth Valais stanchion clamp you put around the seatpost (mine was on a Reverb and fit great) and the materials to connect it to the saddle rails. Check their website for all the details. It retails for $200, you'd have to pay shipping in addition to that (which I did) and is currently out of stock. I'm asking $180 since I only used it once on an 8 mile ride.

Aug 9, 2015Rocky Mountain Slayer 70
$1800 USDKiller bike with great specs that I've put a lot of work into very recently. Some specs - Fox 36 fork (160mm), 165mm travel Fox shock in rear (6.5"), RockShox Reverb seat dropper, Deity Blacklabel bars (785mm), Formula The One brakes, Race Face cranks, Race Face stem, 2x10 gearing, tubeless setup (Minion in front, Big Betty in rear). This bike charges - burly on the downhills, climbs great. Taken it on all day backcountry epics and downhilling - it can honestly do it all. Taken great care of it and treated her nice.
Work I've done to it recently (about $700 worth):
- Rebuilt the fork at the beginning of 2015 season
- Rebuilt the rear shock at beginning of 2015 season
- New rear brake pads, Jul 2015
- New bottom bracket, Jul 2015
- New rear wheel built specific to this bike in Jul 2015 (literally, brand new, built up)
- New front and rear rotors, winter 2015
Here's a link to the original bike, keep in mind I've upgraded here and there (e.g. wider bars):
