@Bollox64: American humor doesn't always translate well. Sometimes we think it's funny just to be stupid.

Pinkbike Poll: Hip Pack, Vest, or Backpack?
In the arid Rocky Mtn climate here in CO I don't see how anyone gets by with just a water bottle for any ride more than an hour. Plus, I got sick and tired of dirt covered mouthpieces ages ago. I haven't had a water bottle on any bike in over a decade. If that's all the water I need, then I really don't need water. Besides, I'd never risk my life trying to reach down and grab the bottle while I'm riding, but I can drink from a hose over my shoulder while riding just fine.

@imbiker: Nope. In fact I’d gladly trade my black 38’s for an orange set. Any takers?

I just can't get on board with Fox's gold color. I'm trying, but it just looks cheap to me. Like a 1980 Pontiac TransAm in black with the big gold eagle on the hood that eventually cracks and looks like shit. I know, color has nothing to do with performance, but it just turns me off.

Amer Sports Sells ENVE to Utah-Based Private Investment Firm
Zactly! I tell everyone who brags about that "lifetime warranty" thing... who's lifetime? And it isn't a TRUE lifetime warranty if it's only for the original buyer, which all LT warranties are that I've seen in the MTB market. Don't believe those CraigsList ads that claim a lifetime warranty, that deal is dead as soon as it's sold to the next owner.

Amer Sports Sells ENVE to Utah-Based Private Investment Firm
Well, I have no inside information but in my business this usually means things are going poorly on the financial side. As an owner of a set of Enve wheels, stem and handlebars, who has had constant issues with the wheels, I'm not surprised. I don't see a lot of Enve wheels on the trails I ride but I do see a hell of a lot of their competitors wheels. There's an opportunity for them to leapfrog their competition, but from my experience, they'll keep on trying to force people to buy a new set of wheels at $2500 rather than sell one wheel or rim to 2nd owners at a palatable price. And just like I have, most people will go to another brand. When I broke my Enve rear wheel I was stunned at how easily it collapsed. It didn't hold up to the claims I keep hearing, so why would I piss away a pile of money on the same brand and HOPE that it doesn't happen again when I can buy a single rim from another brand for much less? Enve just lost a customer and probably any of my friends as well. Not a good business model. As we say in sales, the easiest sale to win is a referral. The hardest sale to win is the one you have to win back.

First Ride: 2024 Yeti SB165 - Now With Mixed Wheels
Pretty much love the bike but that saddle - can't stand it! I had that briefly on my Yeti but I hated it and couldn't believe what the price is on those! I sold it, got a $40 saddle that I love. Expensive doesn't always mean "good".

Review: Yeti's Back in the XC Game With the 2024 ASR
My first Yeti was a 2007 ASR 575. The swingarm had no bearing hinges but relied on a carbon "hinge" that flexed under load. Over time this weakened and broke. The replacement cost $400 which Yeti tried to convince me was a "special customer service consideration". It was not. That was the list price for the part. This bike appears to have pretty much the same design swingarm but I'd bet you'd need a 2nd mortgage to replace this one when it inevitably breaks.
