I'd get Avid brakes if I had the dough but I don't, plus I'm saving for a car and travelling during my gap year. The brakes I had were the stock Hayes Nines, they were alright for the first year, but died and kept dying after I had ressurected them. I eventually gave up and ripped them off.

I've gone through about 5 180mm Hayes discs and I dont have the money to keep replacing them, it makes the ride a LOT lighter and it helps with making you adjust to any situation that you come in to, anticipation. Just have to be wearing decent shoes. :P

I've gone through four of those Hayes discs, i gave up and run brakeless now haha :P

Even though it is my bike i agree. the seat is a couch. makes it look weird but rides mega smooth.
