@PauRexs: They definitely do not "care about us". They are boardroom executives moving dollars around to give an impression of growth potential to increase share value.

Brett Rheeder Announces He’s Sold Title MTB, Intends to Start New Brand
@sfarnum: No. Somebody has to run the factory in Stalingrad. He thinks it is very selfish for Rheeder to use the fact that there is no communism here to up and abandon the factory to build a better factor for his own gain.

4 Tech Takeaways From the Fort William DH World Cup
@mjlee2003: A prototype frame may well be where it is most needed. Future prototypes can be engineered to need less of the e-suss's changes to anti-rise and the like.

4 Tech Takeaways From the Fort William DH World Cup
@brianpark: all these people suspecting e-suspension use is related to sponsor dollars may be on to something in a way you don't mention. The factory team they are on has to use a certain frame. A rider might very well want to counter a shortcoming they see with the frame and a suspension tech may be programming an e-sus rig to help with this. Let's say Loic loves the composure of the Demo through the chunk but feels it sags too much when he is hitting the gas.

@PauRexs: You hire a broadcast crew/company that you know is dependable and will do a good job, so that might mean a crew that specializes in another sport but will broadcast a large number of sports. Live broadcasting is a highly technical field and a lot of ad $$$ could be lost if your broadcast goes down or is subpar. But MTB DH was the most important sport to Red Bull, so they would go above and beyond to give great coverage because it was the most watched thing on their channel. For Discovery Max it might be the least watched sport for all I know.

@Tmfnll: while I saw the nice angle of both of Minnar's crashes, I did not believe that was from broadcast (but I cant get the broadcast so...). I saw a highlight reel that showed a chunk of Minnaar's run and had only one of the two crashes in it.

@Tmfnll: I'm not sure what value you are looking for. I'm looking for an exciting race, that's it. Many crashes occurred off camera in RB because some small thing changed on course that caught up riders, but RB camera ops had already set up broadcast feeds in certain sections to catch the most visually exciting spots of the track. In this new coverage, you couldn't even tell Minnaar crashed because he was like 2% of the screen, so who cares if it actually gets caught on camera if he only looks like an ant?

@PauRexs: For one, I don't know who is producing the live feed that all the broadcasters across the globe use, but my guess is they use sport broadcasters who would be hired by the Olympics etc. To film a great many sports, probably specializing in soccer). While Red Bull hires actual MTB filmers. The MTB filmers would be cheaper and not use as expensive equipment (in RB races, you saw the feed go out in certain sections occasionally, which is very rare in Olympic level productions).
