Nerding Out: Are More People Watching World Cup DH Racing in 2023?
I hope the UCI reads these responses. I support young riders and this year helped to found a UCI trade team to give junior World Cup riders support in the series. We have ten riders on the world cup this year. I love downhill. The UCI has been a pleasure to work with - absolutely responsive and no issues whatsoever.
The 2023 media production is poorly executed. It is clear there is not enough put into it and poor understanding of the market. These statistics are misleading and poorly proofed to make 2023 media seem more relevant. I have watched World Cup since freecaster era. One item that has been better is the ability to watch junior DHi race runs. Good job on that - but it’s the only thing we can watch for free.
It’s interesting how averse we all are to buying the WC subscription - I think they needed to prove their quality first before asking for money.
Our family has no issues buying supercross subscription every year. We would never not watch SX.
