Bought my wheels in August 2008, only needed a spoke key twice. Ragged them in the French alps and they never let me down once.Very impressed indeed, would recommend Mavic Wheelsets to all, their strength to weight ratio is superb. I weigh 15.5 stone and i am not the smooothest of riders..

light & strong, have been riding it for a full season, also in bikeparks (had also a second deemax wheelset at the beginning, but the SX proved to be reliable also in rough conditions, so I was lazy and didn't change the wheels any more, hahaha), But I have to say, that I am an skinny guy, 64 kilos. Which doesn't mean that this wasn't enough to bend a doubletrack in the past.

My good friend has these wheels on his DJ and he bet me 100 i couldn't bend them. I took him up and whipped off a 5 foot drop and landed sideways on an off camber rocky slab of concrete and.....the rims were fine! i also cased a bunch of jumps and i couldn't do anything. I did succeed in bending the handle bars. These rims are amazing and are lighter than a lot of other all mountain wheels.

Amazingly stiff and hold their line better than any other wheel I have tried. I rode them for 2 years. And had no problems (and i weigh 230 lbs). Plus the spoke pattern looks sick! I upgraded to a 29er, but almost reconsidered just to keep my wheels.

Excellent, light, strong and Pimpin wheelset. I've gone for the centrelock option and a good tip for those also going for the CL, you'll need the oversized CL cap from the Saint range! Doh

 Strength rear hub engagement outstanding
styling virtually maintenance free finally they get it's as much fun to come down, if not more. As it is to go up.Worthy of a pedal hamster and a true descender

I just picked up a slightly older set of these wheels and they are amazing. This is a super light, super strong wheel, and it is built with pure Mavic quality!

Mavic Crossmax SX (MSRP $899.9) — For 2009 the Crossmax SX gets a totally new freehub design, goes on a 165 gram diet, and gets a hot new look. New ITS-4 pawl system delivers instant engagement and transfer of pedaling energy and interspoke milling (ISM) significantly reduces the weight and inertia of the wheel.
