Dang, think I saw this bike yesterday at n* (6/15/13) while I was at the bottom of livewire, and I couldn't help but notice on how fun yet burly it looked.im pretty sure it rides amazing as well.u did a great job on the build (and I'm sure u know that).
I can simply put it as a more versatile, nimble full on dh bike. I can do pretty much what I can do with a dc fork and much more. Tighter trails are more fun, and its easier in the air too. Basically a trail bike on roids.
Ive taken it on xc rides but nothing steep. Flowy stuff. Not much fun tho.
Sounds good! I've been thinking about swapping my TR250 frame for some DH frame, but leaving the 36 on it, but I think I'll keep this frame for at least this season and then reconsider swapping the frame.
I just can't come over how good your's looks like. Only thing I'd possibly do is paint the rear triangle black for that ultimate stealthiness, although the white looks great too!
I already contacted a SC approved paint shop for repainting the rear tri while retaining warranty. Itll cost me between $200-300 I think for everything; postage, stripping and one solid color. Still thinking about it. Lolz
Completely another bike, or just the 2013 version? I'm a bit in the same boat. Would want to try something else, but the TR250 is just awesome! I keep on falling in love with it :/ Should be a good thing!
NICE! The wilson sure is purdy, but I don't think you'll get the most of it on your trails (if I've understood you correctly), as it is a very planted and long bike. I'd just keep that V10 if I were you.
Thats what I always hear about it. But with work on skills you can make a bike do whatever you want. Haha. And yah it does look bltchin. But just plain looks I like the dhr best.
I'm actually not that big a fan of the DHR, concerning looks. My balls hurt by just looking a that top tube, although I've heard it's not a problem, just looks so damn high Wilson is my fav bike aesthetically. Would love to test them both out though, but the DH scene isn't that big over here, so the test drive bank is quite restricted
Haha dhr is one of the lowest slung bikes atm. 13.5 bb, Demo-ish height even lower than the V10 or Wilson. Cant wait for rd1 of at Fort William. This season is going to be insane.
Yeah, prefer a bit higher BB to be honest, I'll probably own just one bike for the rest of my life, so it has to be a bit of a Swiss army knife, therefor a low BB would just be a pain in the ass for me
