+1 with PNW, ignore the crap. If it weren't for people pushing the boundaries and doing new things, we'd still be cavemen. I can understand why people have a beef with the build, but it's your bike and you can do what you like. And I'm kinda interested to see how this project pans out, it is really interesting! Plus, I'm a bit of a sucker for old Manitou gear, my best mates dad still has his Shiver DC's on the wall in the garage
You sir, are a pioneer, be proud and go do your thing! Chapeau!
finally got my bearing kit for my rear shock and have put a few miles on it..... it works very well but still gotta tweak the rear shock a bit... it def. rides plush as people said it will... still a bit heavier than i wanted it but ill work that down over time.. (34lbs)
it works perfectly fine for xc/am etc... its not really that heavy at 5lbs compared to others... (i was gonna get a manitou minute and it comes in at like 4lbs) of course there are others that are BIG $$$$ and weigh a pound plus less but i aint got that kinda money to throw into a bike.... ive had a couple shivers now and they work very well for older technology...
THANKS !! and ya i could really care less what anyone thinks.. im happy with the build and just wish i could actually ride it !!!! another week and my bearings will be here .. then GAME ON !!!
