i woldent go for the primo hollowbite i rode them and i broke a pair.. and few of my friends broke them and bent them in the pedal place so the pedal got out of the place in fakie and shit.. i wold recomend the hollowbite only if you weight like less then 60kilos or so..
I've herd of people stripping the pedal inserts *Cough cough Johntownson and others* I also found this ---> as john has fixed his which makes me belive this is true.
"But apparently the bosses are designed to spin so that retards who can't figure out the reverse thread thing don't strip them immediately. It's also supposed to protect against stripping due to over-tightening.
Unfortunately, retards then attempt to undo the pedals the wrong way, spin the bosses, and assume that the cranks are stripped and post about it on the internet."
Also, you can NOT strip the threads that hold the insert on by tightening the pedals. If you see how they are kept from rotating you would see that the tightening of the pedals will NOT interfere with the inserts threading.
I would think the arm would snap before you would rip the threads out but its possible. But that has nothing to do with what happened to me. My inserts just simply came loose.
7075 Aluminum is definitely not soft enough to be stripped that easily...Just look at the Race Altas cranks, there 7075 Aluminum and they don't even run inserts, Pure pedal to Aluminum contact never herd of one striping...
Still cant walk...going to doctors tomorrow to have X-rays,il be back to riding in 2 weeks TOPS, it's definitely not broken, but One - Four of the tendiont's might be fractured, Stretched or Severely sprained...
