only in America do you give a kid the most powerful handgun (going by the above comments) and get him to shoot a pretty rare animal and then have him on tv.
Pretty rare animal? You are obviously unimformed of the facts regarding wild hogs. In many parts of the world, wild hogs are overpopulated and are a blight to the landscape and cause serious ecological damage. Hunting the hogs is an important step in ecological conservation. Watch Discovery sometime....
Stever, if they are shooting them for ecological damage and blight to the landscape... Why aren't humans hunted more often? Hogs wouldn't be such a problem if we didn't scare away predators or kill them all prior to this happening, or rape all the land that they used to live on.
Not saying that we should surrender the world to animals but humans are f*cked up.
Dude, you're WAY off topic. You also missed the point. In most parts of the world where the wild hogs are a problem (including many parts of the southern U.S.) they are not indigenous species, and therefore they have no natural predators. The problem is not the man killed of their predators, the problem is that man introduced a non-indigenous species into an ecology, and that species is now destroying the ecology. This kind of thing has happend all across the world. Rabbits in Australia, Beavers in South America, even a certain species of bull frog in Southern B.C., and the list goes on. That's one of the reasons why, if you ever travel abroad, you'll see signs at airports warning about not transporting any foreign plants or animals (fauna or flora).
