I think youre both wrong. He didnt want a water bottle rack there, and had to fill the holes so they just threw the shifter on there with a custom cnc'd lever perch. And in the end it just made sense. No just messin.

Hey thanks captain obvious ! actually it's used just as everyone above has said. why make a custom frame with bottle cage holes when he doesn't want em? seems stoopid to me. he just uses it to keep it clean and out of the way for tricks e.g tailwhip, barspins ect.

its a SRAM TT Shifter. its designed for Time Trial Bikes for Track use.

F**king cool Idea though!!!
  • 2 1
Not for track use, just time trial. Track is something different. It's basically a bar-end shifter.

 ow does the shifter work?
  • 1 0
Yeah, its actually Brandon's only shifter. Keeps the bars cleaner, and everything more tucked together.

 looks tidy

but isnt it a bit dificult to change gear?
  • 1 0
On the fly yep, but for someone who does a run at a time i think its just fine for him.
  • 10 0
Actually he doesn't do it to "keep the bars cleaner," he uses a downtube shifter so he can use a hydraulic gyro for barspins.
  • 4 0
 well im sure its both
  • 7 1
it shouldn't be difficult to change gear when there are a plethora of no-hand tricks in semenuk's trick bag.
