I was coming from the bike as a whole (I've got a Slayer ride myself) and no so more from the bashguard. My bike came with those rims as stock setup, and for a time they rode good, but in the end I came into the conclusion they were way too thin for those 2,3s tyres and had new rims put in. About the rest of the stock setup, just to say I got rid of it when opportunity arrived. You can actually ride this bike as you pull it straight out of the box, but depending on your riding style you might fell at times like you are pushing things way to far for what it is after all, so your mind is somewhere else. I've made some drops in those rims if you are asking, but I would not subject them to so much abuse? This bike's price tag is ridiculous if you come to think of it in terms of value for money.
