 im pretty sure its not the wood pannel. people might have that in their house. i think it could be those monstrosity glaces that look like they would fit a T-Rex dinosaur. or maby the fact that his computer looks like its as old as bob barker.

 its the colour of that panel; i used to have woodpannels in my old house (1 year ago), just the clear lacquer makes it look dated.
