they are ti bolts so i dont put them ubes tight for fear of stripping them, but also i torque my chain so hard i have to (i have snapped several bmx chains by just pedaling)
i managed to half-strip my stock bolts, and they still slipped, so i was wondering if upgraded steel bolts would have enough clamping force to not use tensioners at all
if you notice i only use the tensioner on one side, if will take the added weight of a tensioner just so it does not slipe, and i am king of the weight weenieness. i dont think it will ever not slip, there is just not enough grip to put up with the forces i can put through my cranks. until a bolt can stop my 600+ pounds of push then i wont use a tensioner (i can leg press 600 pounds so thats where that number came from)
ya i sold the entire bike but i do still have bits and pieces of it floating around, stuff i did not want to sell like the brake, all the ti bolts and so on
it looks like you got 2.25" tabletops more than halfway in the dropouts, how wide are you rims and did you ask for more tire clearance with the frame? would the spanish bb be a factor?
