i think thats SWEET!!!. love the idea, and hate all the shit coming from the chavs and cocks on pinkbike! guess it's worth the $20,000 and 400hrs if it does biking and skiing together (my two best sports) and i would recommend to try and show some different bike/ski companies that (especially NORCO). love it!
go make a custum sky bike with custom 4 piston cylinders, titanium hardware, custom hand made titanium brackets, etc... and then tell me how much it adds up to.
that can't possibly cost $20,000. the bike alone with all the parts probably cost maybe $4000. i'm highly doubting, 4 brackets, 4 ski mounts, and 2 seat stays of titanium cost $16,000. I don't see why you would waste your money on "custom 4 piston cylinders" when there are already a few on the market, or you could have easily used any brake from any type of motorcycle if you needed that much power. even if you built the hole bike out of titanium it wouldn't cost $20,000.
no, the wheels stick down slightly below the skis. so when you pull the brakes the wheels stop turning and dig into the snow slowing/stopping it. at least that what it looks like.
