Lev Stryker & Henry Abel jump a custom Calfee Designs tandem with an Ellsworth rear end during the 2014 Blitz 2 The Barrel invite-only $20,000 race in Bend, Oregon. Check out the story link to see more about this leap.
I had a Burley cyclocross tandem, street riding with the wife. I went bunny hop a small, 8 to 10 inch curb... NOT...
totally slammed right into it cause we weren't in sync. .at most, maybe got an inch off the ground.
Still have teeth marks on my back from when the wife slammed into me
ha ha ha --- I forgot, I also have had one of those trail a bikes that I would use with my kids --- I took one of them mountian biking and although I didn't try to bunny hop with it (mostly cause it just doesn't work that way with a tag along), I didn't see a large branch that had fallen onto the trail until it was too late. I was able to get most of my bike over the limb but, Jack (my son) had no warning and he went sailing a good 2 feet into the air. held onto the bar and came slamming back down on the saddle with his belly. somehow able to ride it out until I came to a stop.
@ThreadKiller: No, you've not been "blackballed", although in the UK military, I believe that usually involves boot polish, which we certainly haven't done. I simply haven't seen shots from you that I think would make a POD, if you would like to bring some of your work to my attention as you feel it has been overlooked we have a thread in the forum for that:
