Thanks man.. time will tell if I need surgery, they want to see if it will heal itself. But like your pops I may be confined to the road bike maybe xc if lucky.. but holding out hope, and yes I've got plenty of goodness getting me by.. after all, its a natural anti-inflammatiry..  Yes. I separated my shoulder last wednesday

 they don't know yet until next follow up evaluation if this requires surgery. They didn't tell me what stage, did you do surgery?

 no surgery for me, most of the time it doesn't require surgery. yours is higher then mine. recovery is a bit painful but not to bad.i wish you luck, let me know what the Dr says. after 5 days I put on a shoulder brace and it helped with my posture and movement. Dr did not recommend this, also look into taping.

 just like when I broke my foot, I was expecting the worse, but was seriously back in the trail within 4 weeks after that.. hoping the same with this.. but still expecting the worst
