"Proudly designed in Switzerland" and made in the same factory as everyone else?
  • 11 0
 Yes.
  • 66 4
Pretty sure there are more skills in Taiwan than in Switzerland to produce a frame
  • 14 2
Not news and not a problem. As long as it doesn't break.
  • 10 0
@willdavidson9595: the bigger problem arises when you have an issue with your frame and have no customer service to back you up. My SCOR 4060 has blown through three sets of bushings since I got in in January and the only replacements I have gotten were pulled off of other bikes. No response from SCOR and they believe that the problem has been solved by their valiant efforts. It's also worth noting that I was injured for three months so the three sets of bushings were worn through during only six months of riding. And I would have gone through more if they had sent me new bushings when they actually needed to be replaced.

@pasteque51: Based on what? Just because it's cheaper to produce there doesn't mean they're more skilled or that there are more of them.
  • 2 0
@labrinsky: I had this same problem with a polygon siskiu n7. It was enraging. I had to make it work so I pulled out my digital caliper and measured the existing bushings. Then contacted Igus dot com about it. They can help you with your own ultra high quality flanged bushings if you call the on the phone. Good luck, that is a frustrating position
  • 2 3
Yes switzerland is known for its carbon technology. /s. Im sure 99% of the stuff you own is not made in switzerland what you mean to say is not made in a white country.
  • 7 0
@nickfranko: based on facts. Have you even been out of the usa
  • 2 0
@labrinsky: Similar boat but not as bad. My top shock bushing failed and BMC told me it would take 3 months to receive. Thank god the shop took a bushing off of another bike to get me back on the trail. They need to sort out their product support.
  • 2 0
@mikepal: that is very interesting to know that this is not a one off issue. I hope that they get this sorted. At bare minimum if the frames blow through bushings, get a bunch made through whatever manufacturer has capacity to make them available to your customers. At least, that would be my thought process.
  • 2 0
@mikepal: well, it's worth noting that after reaching out to SCOR through Instagram directly a few days ago, they just let me know that they are coming out with a new bushing and will be sending out replacements. They didn't know yet if they are in production or if they have even notified distributors yet of the solution. But it's a step in the right direction.
  • 1 0
Mine were gone after 3 weeks. No service either. I really love the bike, but pretty disappointed on how helpless they were. I ended up finding bushing directly to a manufacturer or bearing and industrial parts. So far they re better.
  • 87 3
I "desperately" need this frame, because the other frame that I won almost a year ago (different raffle) I haven´t gotten yet. Frown
  • 26 0
For clarification - that was a DIFFERENT raffle by a DIFFERENT company. Still waiting though.
  • 9 0
 @styriabeef: what did you win?
  • 5 0
@DylanH93: a frame of choice. Chose a model that was discontinued, and been offered to wait for the new model upon release in spring. Unfortunately no release yet, probably due to supplychain issues.
  • 22 3
@styriabeef: That seems like a self inflicted problem
  • 5 0
@mtb-jon: yes and no. Would have chosen differently If I would have known before.
  • 4 0
 Which company / brand? @styriabeef:
  • 61 0
Think the 'SEND' button is just a feature, that sends our names to the PB crowd to point fingers and laugh.. mhhhhh
  • 7 5
"First name Salad, last name Dodger? more like...Salad Tosser!"

Before the downvotes come, yes I'm teasing and I'm aware it could be interpreted with negative intent

Guys, it's got a pressfit bottom bracket, so don't enter Wink
  • 38 0
If that's true I want to revoke my entry. Threads for life.
  • 17 0
@TommyNunchuck: No cables through the headset so I guess we're even
  • 7 0
Pressfit in 2022? There must be a supplychain problem on threads.
  • 2 0
Simple solution get a screw together bottom bracket, worked for my old Troy Carbon.
  • 41 0
Does anyone really win these? It's time we try an experiment. I'll register, and then no one else enter their info. I'll let you guys know if I win!
  • 31 0
"(upon availability)" is a helluva disclaimer.
  • 23 1
So, I was in Italy in 2019 at a BMC bike release. I got to ride all the bikes with pro riders, take guided rides ect. ect... at the send off dinner on the last day, a guy comes and sits beside me, BC sales rep sat accross from me. The very nice older gentleman asks "what do you think of the bikes?" I proceed to praise the road bike and the (at the time) brand new U.R.S.... when he asks "and the mountain bikes?" This is where a bottle of fine Italian wine had been consumed and internal filter completely gone. I start tearing them apart... an xc bike and a down country bike!? It's no wonder they don't sell in british columbia.... blah blah blah... rep is literally kicking me in the shin under the table. This guy is taking notes at this point... thanks me... gets up and leaves. Rep "don't you fu#$&*g know who that is?!!" No... "BMC second in command!" ‍♂️‍♂️

So a year later we have scor bikes...

You're welcome everyone...
  • 14 0
if this is a true story, then it sounds like that was a bottle of wine that did its job as intended. Why on earth the rep would want you to shut up makes no sense at all, I certainly don't want "yes men" or women working for me.
  • 24 0
 who won last time!?
  • 2 0
@fruitsd79: that was actually another raffle.
  • 18 0
I haven´t got a single chance of winning if I´m not klick on the "Yes, I would like to receive news and information from SCOR
" button, am I?
  • 7 2
Probably not. A company I used to work for ran a contest with a promotional prize sponsor (sorta like this one - 'win the new...') and when we picked winners, we bumped one down from grand prize because they didn't sign up for the partner's newsletter.

Newsletter entries is what that company is 'buying' with this bike. If you don't pay the price of admission, why would they let you in, right?
  • 8 0
I'm pretty sure a bigger company/site like pinkbike would just use a ramdomizer. For legal reasons, they'd have to show and document how an impartial winner was chosen.

But like others have said.. used to work at a smaller company and we'd choose who we wanted to win based on how much business we thought we could get out of them. Again, this is a much different situation.
  • 1 1
@jspier: is there a mechanism that doesn’t allow participants to win if they’ve immediately unsubscribed after entering the contest?
  • 4 0
Used to work in an up and coming bike shop that did raffles and giveaways on a monthly basis; Management always picked the people with the most reach in social media, i f*cking hated it bc i knew lots of people didn't stand a chance against that local model with 50k followers who didn't ride a bike since she was 9.
  • 8 0
@jspier: That sounds like it should be illegal if it isn't already
  • 2 0
@boozed: I'm sure it would be if a contest like that were under a lottery licence, but from my experience (that was in the UK), that wasn't the case. It was a pretty simple, casual contest, with no one regulating it's fairness... which I'm guessing would be the same on a global site like Pinkbike.
  • 6 0
@boozed: Extremely illegal, in certain jurisdictions anyway. And unethical either way.
  • 17 0
 What a scor!
  • 13 0
 sent and forgotten ;-)
  • 11 0
 yes, another not-win-it Wednesday
  • 6 0
 Does anyone actually win?
  • 7 0
@ZanderShredsMtb: i'd be happy to with a Skor chocolate bar at this point
  • 4 0
@ZanderShredsMtb: few years ago I won a stem-handlebar-saddle and grips combo with the advent calendar giveway, for reference: www.pinkbike.com/news/win-a-kore-prize-pack-pinkbikes-advent-calendar-giveaway-2016.html
  • 8 1
Color of choice: Yum Gum or Midnight Disco (MY23 colorways)

Yah, a bike the colour of Pepto Bismol would not be my first choice.....or my 99th.........
  • 2 0
I like the colors. But, even if I did not, it is not like I am going to win anyway.
  • 13 0
For free, I'd ride that pink one in a purple Barney the Dinosaur costume...
  • 3 0
 @poleczechy: spat out my coffee.
  • 6 0
That's not even Pepto, it's more like... Sunburned Barbie Salmon-ella Mauvrange Neon Flesh I always wanted to work as a paint-namer but for some reason no one will hire me
  • 5 0
 @ryetoast: I'd hire you
  • 2 0
Brits might know it as Mr Blobby pink...
  • 1 0

"Timing: The Contest timing will be stated in the Contest Article (the “Contest Period”)."

It doesn't seem to say anywhere what the period is for these contests. When are the names drawn?
  • 2 0
Found it. For some reason they made the font white under contest period but it you highlight the page you can see it:

**September 7, 2022 at 12:00 AM Pacific Standard Time (“PST ”) to September 20 at 11:59 AM PST (the “Contest Period”)

@labrinsky: just checked out your pics. That bike looks sick, especially with the ohlins suspension! How you liking it?
  • 1 0
 @pdxkid: That being......
  • 1 0
@zachinblack: Fat Tire Farm in Portland
  • 1 0
@DylanH93: thanks man! It's a lot of fun. I was not the biggest fan of how it rode with the stock x2. With the Ohlins it's fantastic. Great on jumps and both stable and playful in fast tech. I am waiting to try it as a mullet. My only gripe is their customer service is utter dog shit
  • 1 0
I saw the midnight colorway at Crankwox Whistler - it is beautiful. I still love their current purple though. Very nice looking bikes nonetheless, and their junior bikes that are coming out look great for mini-groms.
  • 6 3
I didn't scor in a long time, would be great to get this!
  • 3 0
This is a great one! The XL's are even big enough for us taller riders!

I'd love to win so I can stop spending months researching in paralysis for a new bike to replace my rusty rigid Trek 3700
  • 1 0
I signed up to receive more information from SCOR. I am guessing the first thing that they will send me is a notice that I did not win.

  • 1 2
The penalty give it to one of the pinkbike workers… no one actually wins these unless they either work for pinkbike or the company who’s giving it away. I don’t k ow why I wast my time
  • 1 0
I really hope that I win this. I don't have a full suspension and I have always wanted to build up a bike.
