Ride on board with the Canyon CLLCTV's Troy Brosnan at the Australian National Champs, Maydena Bike Park... Dry and dusty for the weekend's racing!— Canyon Bicycles
You can always tell an Australian track. It looks like its on a different planet or different millennia. I'm waiting for a dinosaur to appear on the side of the track.
His video was excellent but in general, these POV videos would be better if they overlaid the track steepness somehow onto the display. All these POV videos look like they're going flat because of the perspective.
For example, if they showed a graph like on the following page with the rider's dot following him down the line then we could see if the track is steep or not. I'm not sure of a good way do implement it though. Perhaps the easiest would be if GoPro integrated a altimeter into their camera and had it as a setting. Otherwise it would be quite complicated it merge the track graph with a video.
Is that the World Champs track from a few years ago? If so, looks like they have built some sweet jumps instead of the long sprint to the bottom. The track looks absolutely amazing.
If that was the one Mick Hannah got second to Loic Bruni on and Miranda Miller took the women's then no. That was Cairns which is much more tropical I think.
