I never wanna get hurt, but this time of year my skills are sharpest and if I get hurt I don't miss out on more than a couple weeks of riding since the snow is coming anyway. Definitely the time to go hard and build stoke to get me through the winter.
Another thing to look forward to: lift access fat bikes in the snow. Rumors are flying all over about the big resorts allowing it. I would love to ride some smooth packed runs on a fatty.
For the record... 2.35 maxxis high roller 60a dh casing on the front and a maxxis high roller 60a maxxpro on the back is my choice of rubber :-). 26 inch obviously.
got to meet Remy in Whistler this summer and I have to say he is a real nice guy. I asked him how he managed to clear some of the jumps he makes and his reply, "I don't really know, I just hit them". He invited my friend an I to ride A-line with him.. I politely declined.. "I wouldn't be riding A-line with you Remy, I'd just watching your back wheel disappearing around the berm"
All good dude just booked on for bikepark wales at the end of november for 2 days then in cornwall on boxing day while the 4th of jan trying to get some surfing in. In the meantime its local ride and building fitness ready for next year
The whip at 0:34 where he drags a leg is smooth. He does is another time later in the video but I had to watch it a couple of times to fully appreciate it. It's the little things that make good riders stylish. Nice work man. I keep hoping to see that quick TE's and front tire grabs mixed in there. I'll just hope for next season. Love the edits.
Snow? Winter? Snowmobile? what are these things you speak of? just kidding, not sure if either is better, no winter and no mountain or have a mountain that is covered in snow 1/2 the time.
I was in the gondola with him and another french dude on this last day Whistler was open. The gondola attendant gave him a hard time about his GoPro camera helmet mount, saying it could break his neck if he landed on it the wrong way. I was like "he's worried about you! *lol*!"
And the award for blowing ones horn the hardest goes to remi metalier!!!
The towns filled with a decent amount of people who can ride like that but you're definitely the best at go-pro'ing
If a decent amount of people can ride like Remi, where are their videos? Where are their sponsors? Are you implying he should not continue marketing himself just because some whistler locals are butthurt that he has more sponsors than them?
to each there own. some people ride just to ride. I know some whistler locals who own older bikes and shred the sh###t outta that mountain and never talk themselves up or post stuff etc etc. (do whatever you want, who cares)
Well, he also won the overall Phat wednesday DH series I believe? He's fast and has mad style. Also he's very good at putting out nice edits/pictures frequently, a social media mater
Knows what's up! Listen up cuz!
I'm with ya man! I'm hittin all the road gaps and +30ft jumps!
f*ck skiing and snowboard!!!
He invited my friend an I to ride A-line with him.. I politely declined.. "I wouldn't be riding A-line with you Remy, I'd just watching your back wheel disappearing around the berm"
Hopefully sth. like that won´t happen again, it looked pretty bad.
Devo's "Whip It" would have worked nice
assuming it's something along the lines of this:
