The first time all the puzzle pieces have come together for team camp, and what a better way to get the bonding underway than laps of a dry and dusty Lousã.— Santa Cruz Syndicate
Excellent. I am looking forward to a PinkBike feature where they compare a WC downhiller to an elderly granny on WC track. Granny or Baller it will be called. Makes perfect sense.
What a track. And what a view watching it ridden at those speeds just having some loose fun on it. Stoked to see what the new team lineup does over the season!
@anonimous666: It's always been an ambition of mine to bowl at Lourdes (Full disclosure: This is a joke intended for brits of a certain age. It's also however possible that I'm the only person in the world who thinks this is funny)
Hum... nothing to do with Lourdes which is steeper, less shaped, rockier (at the top), gnarlier, and with less jumps. BTW, and for your information, the portuguese Lourdes is called Fatima, religiously speaking, but it doesn't have a DH track as far as I know
@danstonQ: Fátima doesn't,but just 15km away is Porto de Mós,home to the rockiest DH track on the national circuit and one of the hotbeds of MTB in Portugal.
@nozes: Obrigado pela informação Looking forward to going back to Portugal one of these days to ride the great tracks you've got. Tenho saudades de Portugal...
@danstonQ: I've been in Lourdes, the last time the WC was held there and I also know quite well Lousã, and although the first half of the Lousã WC track is not as steep as Lourdes, the bottom part is very very steep and full of roots, ruts and bombholes. Both tracks are proper WC tracks, though.
