So much good stuff going on here! Alex Rankin absolutely killing it filming these young wippersnapers...... Fun fact’s, his aunty Sue was in the year above me at school and his dad raced British F3 the same year as my brother. Do I win something?
as a persona that doesn't speak english as his first language, I worry about, maybe, someday going to England and not being able to communicate.. I had to concetrate so hard to be able to understand what they were saying.. such a strong accent..
On another note, some of the best riding nowadays. I wonder what would happen if he would start racing world cups given that it looks like he excels at any sport that he sets his mind to.
If you think that's hard to understand try a think Glaswegian accent! Don't worry most people will be pretty patient with someone for whom English is not their first language.
I lived in Wales for a couple months. I landed in Birmingham without any expectations and I was fine there as I've had brummie mentors before, and I've assumed there can't be many weird accents within british english. Then I hopped on the train to wales and I got slapped hard by wenglish... at first I thought it was only a norwegian tourist invasion lol but later I've learned that there are pretty much as many accents as cities.
However, one gets used to it quickly so there's no reason to worry. People are generally friendly with strangers and especially with foreigners, and more often than not they slow down and try to speak a more intelligible accent as soon as they notice you're not a native. Just try to expose yourself a lot to the local accent before you fly out (the wonders of social media) and you'll be fine. 50to01 is a great place to start haha
Same and the fact that he was on a pro track with soccer/football tells me he's just one of those guys with the personality and body control to be a great athlete
Dude’s skills are really heavy. This is what I’d imagine it would look like if someone like Mike Trout had decided to be a professional mountain biker.
