Episode 3 of “Watts Happening” comes to you from the always fun Highland Mountain Bike Park. Follow Greg along with Aaron Chase, Mike Kent and Ethan Nell as they shred the mountain, dirt jumps and slope course in style. Greg has been a coach at their Ayr Academy Summer camp for years now but he says it’s a perfect excuse to come back every year and ride with the locals.
How the F is Vermont making everything Cali has to offer look like a joke?! Dude, either our laws are way too strict or the owners of the slopes are way too soft. This place looks phenomenal, and our stuff looks pathetic!
Highland has been around for a long time. The east coast places are also trying to diversify their operations since ski season can be so hit or miss these days. Killington in VT and Berkshire East (Thunder Mountain) in MA are investing heavily in mountainbiking with Gravity Logic designing and building their trail systems. Both fantastic places to ride, and having nice brown dirt mixed with rocks and roots is a really nice thing. It's a good time to be a rider in the Northeast of the US (and Canada).
