Juan Diego 'Johny' Salido was the silver medalist at Marzocchi Proving Grounds last month, earning himself a spot at this year's Red Bull Rampage. We caught up with Johny and his dig crew as they hacked away at the Utah dirt to construct Johny's creative and gnarly line for his debut at Red Bull Rampage.—Red Bull Bike
Wow. Mad respect for the positivity of his whole crew no matter how hard the terrain/challenge. I’m pretty sure for every challenge they mentioned, at least two enthusiastic remarks were given. Makes me want to pull for him even more now!
Yep, but as in everything, there is always a first time.
Let's hope all the learning Johny, Bienve and Emil get from this year goes toward the next and so on.
I do not think they go there expecting to win, but learn.
I met Johnny and his crew at the og rampage site before they started digging at the current venue, those dudes were super friendly have an awesome attitude approaching such a gnarly event. I’m stoked to see what he throws down tomorrow, way to go boys!
Just wondering 1 .Does the race site get returned to normal after the event is over? Just wondering 2.If this was a true free ride event what's the grooming for? Does free ride not mean go for it on the ground that is there. ?
Just wondering 2 If free riding is all about free riding why all the grooming.?
