And impresion of the whole run is also wery different. Rheeder thinks that swith trick means automatically more points, but point of switchs is that you do them in seguence. You can see that in Semenuk´s last year Crankworx winning run, that was the right way to do switchs.
I think rheeder deserved that win for sure. Semenuk was a bit too cocky in my opinion. "its a game of inches and in the end it comes down to opinion" what he means is the judges were wrong
I feel bad for Darren, he continues to push the sport/course design so hard and really has set standards over the years. But to crash in almost every event must just be so frustrating. Props to Darren for continuing to be a badass, hope to see you accomplish your goals at Rampage.
The guy could barely walk one year back so its a miracle that he's participating at this level...
Consistency will come with patience..
If you are not patient you get hurt again. Just look at Soderstrom....
These guys need to take it slow but sponsors and money will not wait....
It's especially tough to watch in mountain biking because there are so many good guys that I know work so hard, but everyone can't win and it's tough to see awesome people like Darren crash.
Would not have wanted to be in the judges shoes yesterday, trying to figure out who won between rheeder and semenuk came down to every last detail. Awesome event!
So glad to see Yannick back on the podium...
you canadian guys talk about the Claw but here it's the same feeling for Yannick, one of the unluckiest on course!
Sick event. Sad to see our boy Darren have a couple crashes out there. Hope he's ok today, but I'm sure he healed up with some luckys last night! Can't beat that shiznit, props to Darren and all the red bull boys.
I saw Darren at the Sombrio tent after the event. He had his shoulder bandaged up. I think he tweaked it but I wasn't sure how bad. He was signing autographs and being a gracious host to everyone that wanted to meet him and say hello. Total pro. These guys all are. Saw all of them signing autographs and taking pics with fans. I know that the battle being hyped was between Rheeder and Brandon, but the run that blew me away that day was Yannick's second run. The guy was intense. Glad he did well.
I am having a hard time seeing how this has anything to do with biking. This has more in common with ballet dancing than biking. The only biking going on is the few meters between every jump. I think these people should be wearing pink tutus while doing all their extreme twirls and chugging energy drinks.
Go back to whatever forum you came from, dude! This is every bit as much a part of cycling as road, or XC, or BMX, or anything else. Real shredders respect other disciplines.
