Who's ready to see Dakotah Norton doing what he loves, what he does best, what he is destined to do? This is the finale of our three-part series. TEN,000 hours of focus comes down to sometimes 2-5 minutes of make it or break it on a race run. Take a drive with Dakotah as you see the sacrifices made to become successful in downhill racing and what true dedication looks like. Growing up in Michigan, Dakotah has had to relocate to find decent mountains and trails to ride to hone his skills.

Hey Dak...I have been holding off on this, But since this is the final episode...I just wanted to thank you SOO much for riding with me and my boys at Mountain Creek NJ last summer. If I remember correctly you just got done flying back in from 2 world cup rounds and on your way back to Michigan. You were still hurt a bit. But the fact that you just rode and chatted with a bunch of over 40 year old's for like 6? runs, And were SO super chill about hanging and showing me some lines that I did not see on my home mountain was just going way above and beyond. I remember saying to you that you should go ride yourself and be done with us. Your response was.."Nah man it's all good..I just like riding with people, And you guys keep it real". I was blown away. It's how I act toward people at my local trails and you just don't really see that attitude with pro's u just met. I have been in the bike industry for 21 years..And you sir are a true ambassador to the sport of mountain biking. Morpheus, Shimano, Fox racing shox, And Troy Lee Designs are lucky to have you spreading the love that you have for riding. Best of luck dude!! Signed, That older guy on the orange Specialized Demo. Smile

Dakotah I know exactly what your talking about. I from Michigan and one day I said fuck this and left. No to be a pro but just to experience whats out there. Living in California now and living the mountain biking dream. Get after it! I do hope however that you do get back to ride in the UP eh.

I know how you feel man! I grew up in SE Michigan and said F it, and moved to the UP to explore the riding and fell in love with the people. I just moved to Arizona not more than a few weeks ago. Gotta say ripping some of the gnarliest trails in January & February is just sick! I'm not a pro and my move was to support my wife's relocation for her job. It's not how you get there, it how you do it while you're there! I have high hopes to be back in MQT for their trail fest and LSGS races this June. Maybe I'll see Dakotah up there, he's been at the last 2 years, and yes a total chill dude from what I've seen and the few seconds I got a chance to just hang around a circle of bros talking about bikes and riding, and chilling. Cheers!

Just moved to the north valley and riding SOMO during the "winter" months. Only about 1hr 45min drive for me to get up to Flag, and I'm counting down the days for the snow to melt up there so I can go shred.
