There is a place in the South of France where it’s good to be, where the temperatures are always warm and where there is such a special spirit…
“
Ah la Provence” Its weather, atmosphere and location is an invitation to wander on all its trails. In the heart of the Provence, there is one special mountain that has everything a mountain biker could dream about: an alpine ground with a sea view and some gnarly, technical and steep tracks.
It is in this very special place that the first edition of ''Ride Together'' was held. This concept and event was born around a drink, “un apéro” between friends on the Vieux Port of Marseille.
Bryan was on fire! Dust in the air...
One and only one goal: ride together in a friendly atmosphere where everyone would feel at ease and enjoy the day. No strass, no glam… Pure and true spirit! Riding at its finest that’s it!
For this first edtion, Loic Bruni (Lapierre), Bryan Regnier (YT) and Nicolas Quéré (Commençal) were pleased with this idea and decided to come.
Bryan Regnier, Cédric Carrez, Loic Bruni, and Nico Quéré.
Nico Quéré.
Yannick Granieri and I couldn’t make it both because of an injury.
Nico Quéré is a nice guy, that seems to always have fun on his bike.
The event was shared on Facebook only to a few invited local riders along with some other riders.
Very soon there were 50 riders ready for a massive day on the rocky and dusty trails of our
Sainte Baume.
The afternoon was dedicated to riding. Some shuttles were organized on the famous road of “l’Espigoulier”. Chatting, riding and laughing!
Some photographers and cameraman were dispatched on the tracks to capture this special moment, where top pilots and amateur ride together with a single and same idea in mind making the most of this day and share their passion.
How great it is to see some guys like Loic Bruni laughing and fooling around, and our local young guns trying to chase those three pro-riders? In a nutshell, this day was all about drifting, playing and riding hard on some dusty, rocky trails. Southern France style!
And to conclude such a day what’s better than having a beer all together at the small bar of La Pipe with a pétanque field and some good music thanks to Vince and his Phoenix RedBull car?
The RDV next year is already set for the 2nd edition and I hope to see as much passion and people for another epic day of ''Ride Together''.
