With a revised course for 2020 the CLIF Speed & Style presented by Mons Royale provided intense competition with Women competing in a full version of the event for the first time at Crankworx. Check out who took the top spots below.
Well to me, the competition was not that great. 4 riders competing with three podium spots. I know they want to encourage more women to take part in these events, and I think that is great!
But equal price money for men and women with such a huge difference in the rider field is not really fair in my opinion.
I hope this will improve and more women take part in these events
@bashhard: there were 14 women on the start list to qualify for 4 spots. Who limited it to 4? Not the women competing. So yes there are many women getting after just like the men. I think your comment needs more research.
@bashhard: equal prize money is what draws the women to the sport. its one of the few things MOST organizers get right in regards to drawing women into mountain biking.
