Strait had a good lead on Cody going into their second final run but something happened to Strait at the top and he was out of contention. Still awesome to see Strait throw down a 360 attempt on the final jump!
When Sea Otter started, it was kind of a warm-up to the season. So impressed to see what it's become and especially to see so many making the choice to come to Sea Otter.
Pretty cool if you ask me.
Pretty sure you will see more and more of Cody Kelly on podiums in the future. Im certain he is stoked either way I also heard it was his birthday, if so quite the present to himself! Good job!
Cody is a pure shredder. Him and his dad stay and train @ bootleg in Boulder City Nevada during the winter. What pumps me and gives this 41 year old guy hope is look at Lopes he is in his forties and on the podium with the young guys!
the real story here is 44 year old Dave Cullinan racing the slalom. he looked fast! I was at the start gate and a few of us were cheering for Cully, and the young pro next to him said 'dude you have the biggest fan base here'.
epicstomper, i was wondering the same thing, sea otters been on this weekend for a while i believe, i guessing it the uci being pissed at sea otter for not giving them money to be designated a uci connected race
So pumped on his win today and looking forward to seeing him get some well-deserved press!
