The Les Gets P2V Invitational may have been invite-only but that didn't stop there being a stacked field of the world's best riders getting some extra racing squeezed in before the World Cup season finally kicks off.

The Women's race may have only been two riders but that didn't slow Marine Cabirou down as she stomped a strong win against Tracey Hannah. With the men, it was another race dominated by one rider, Loris Vergier. Loris looked dialled on his race run which showed at the bottom of the course when he went 2.24 seconds faster than Benoit Coulanges who has proved he is up there with the best this year. Check out the full results below.

 Oops, forget to invite any women.

 Not many fast French ladies, must just be the one right? Hahahaha

 "The most exclusive DH event in 2020"? I think not! I had a DH race the other day that was so exclusive I was the only participant. I was stoked to land at the top of the podium, but bummed to find that I also came in dead last.

 9 of them were invited .
Pompom, Rachel , Vali , Tahnee , Sigenthaler , Balanche ... some didn’t want to take any risk before Leogang, and boarders are not the easiest thing to go through right now .

 @diowolseara: Thank you. You shouldn't have needed to say that as it was obvious, but it's pretty simple: There are a lot more guys that race DH than girls. It's not difficult to do the math and work out that the percentage out of total riders was likely similar for guys and girls.

 @diowolseara: Is there snow on the ground already? Quite surprising to hear there are any boarders about.

 @commental: I'd like to see how good your SPAG is in French.

 @jamesdunford: fair do's. Although it's good to see the times so tight from first to last.

 @expat-taff: Wee, sest vray.

 Fabien's time was supposed to be +17.53? (Out of place if +7.53). Either way, good to see!

 G.O.A.T. back in the runnings

 The stream was top notch - plenty of angles of the track, no annoying filler. My French isn't good enough to understand most of what was being said, but really enjoyed watching!

 Shoot I missed that there was a live stream. Where did you catch it? Is there a replay?
  • 2 0
 Hey I missed the live broadcast as we went to to the Whistler Bike Park (which is a very good excuse I think) but I assume it wasn't live anyway since it was apparently released at 6pm Paris time. Which explains why Loic Bruni was able to do the colour commentary on his own race! My French isn't great at all but he really seemed to do a brilliant job. It's interesting how much English creeps in, "Il est tres fast". The Academie Francais needs to come up with a French term for "road gap".

 All three SC Syndicate in top 10. F’n awesome results!

 What about Chris Grice?
  • 2 0
 That's what I wondering. There are pictures of him practicing and shuttling with everyone else.

 @NorCalNomad: Update: he got 4th place in the junior category. 4.38 seconds back from first place
  • 1 0
 @Milesalley66: Crazy how the juniors are still going way faster than the women.
  • 1 0
 @NorCalNomad: where did you see jr results?

 Fabien back on the race tracks ?? I love it

 So, no Pompon? Seems weird.
  • 2 0
 Per Instagram posts, Pompon and Thibault Daprela, who also weirdly wasn't there, seemingly had gone off to Austria a few days earlier do some promo project with Vali Holl for the new GoPro 9000SUX. It's also odd non of the other French women like Melanie Chappaz and Camile Balanche weren't there.

 @The-Foiling-Optimist:
Melanie was there , she hurts her shoulder on the traning day , so could take the start

 Woops, Chappaz broke her collarbone at the P2V. Clearly I need to spend more time on Instagram.

 How did Luca get into Europe?
  • 13 1
 He’s dating someone out there and he’s been there for a while.
  • 3 2
 @Milesalley66: dating doesn’t get you entry into the EU right now. M

Maybe Santa Cruz got him a work visa.
  • 2 0
 @Oolex: Ahh, half Belgian.
  • 12 1
 I think he swam
  • 2 2
 @onlyDH: uh... Anyone can fly into the EU right now. They just have to self isolate for 2 weeks.
  • 1 0
 @humoroususername: while Croatia is allowing travelers from the US, the EU still has a ban
  • 2 0
 @onlyDH: Croatia is in the EU...i live in Ireland. There are flights from the US landing here everyday and there is literally nothing to stop a US citizen getting off a plane and going wherever they please.
  • 1 0
 @humoroususername: Looks like everything I can find on the EU travel ban still says no Americans allowed, with exceptions.
  • 2 0
 @Oolex: Lucky git. I'm going to miss mine.
  • 1 0
 @chriskneeland: there is no enforcement of any of these "bans". You can get on a plane to Ireland tomorrow and aside from providing an address where you are supposed to self isolate for two weeks there is nothing different to normal. It's the same in most countries.
  • 1 0
 @humoroususername: Wow. That's unfortunate.

 @commental: Yours is better than mine.

 Benoit is on fire now.
