After difficult weather conditions stopped practice on Friday and
Saturday's qualifying the organisers of Red Bull Hardline alongside the riders have decided to cancel this year's event.

It’s like saying, “they should get rid of the 69ft drops in Utah for 15-20ft drops.” It’s not the same
I think its a fantastic idea!!
There are other lines and jumps that weren’t being used which might have been rideable in bad weather if they had been prep’d.
They’ve had bad weather ‘21 and ‘23 so maybe a bit of contingency planning for next year is needed.
Shame they can't just reschedule to a few days from now
Having said that: gutted for me, obvz, but mainly for the riders, the crews and the spectators
Roll on 2024
Massive respect for sending that drop!
54.7% is an accurate measurement, care to explain how you got to that figure
But I get what your saying mate.
Also, let’s not forget the riders’ families.
Also: hail satan.
Shit happens. Get over it
If a feature on track was not safe to ride, tape the course around it. I’m sure it would still “hard”.
There have been torrential downpours for days that have made the track unrideable. Yeah its disappointing but the features on this course require extreme precision and speed. It is unacceptable to tell riders to just go for it when the 60-90 ft drops and gaps are not safe or even doable. "Just tape around the features that make hardline what it is" is a ridiculous statement. I don't understand why people feel so entitled to entertainment? You didn't pay for the event, how Red Bull spends their money is not your concern, and athlete safety always comes first.
I want this event to continue into the future. Do you not realize that a cancellation this year could kill it entirely? They may not financially recover from this, and it was avoidable. Poor planning. Can't sugar-coat it unfortunately.
dyfi osprey webcam it has been blowing hard most of the morning

But ya... Us in NA we don't give a fugg about the environment....
I'm sorry * rubs nips*
We need some Stop Oil folks over here, they are really setting a great example for climate activisism aren't they?
a) BP probably isn't even British, most 'British' companies tend to be owned by the Saudis, Putin or other top guys these days.
b) Yes that's what I said.
c) Please tell me more about your nipples, have you tried vaseline to reduce the chafing?
d) Yes they are! Pissing people off is how you make change. Asking people politely to be less selfish does FA. See the suffragettes, french revolution etc...
Because it's not about that. It's about making people hate environmentalists. It's to make them seem radical and unhinged/dangerous/destructive. This is not protest, this is corporate espionage
Next you're going to tell me the oil barronness that has her hands all over this group is actually an environmentalist? We going to pretend that making a few donations to create a façade isn't old hat.
I just find the hypocrisy from someone in a country that literally ran 3/4's of the world at one point and is largely responsible for whole species of animals going extinct is trying to preach at me from his high horse.
I think maybe dude needs to take it down a peg or two, we're all in this together. Pointing a finger at across the pond is about as useful as gluing yourself to a road then throwing the glue stick down a storm drain.
As an aside those Stop Oil folks could easily obtain tickets to a cruise ship, one of the biggest polluters on the planet, and wait for it to leave port. Then they could attempt their lil destructive protests against an industry that's actually responsible for the thing they are protesting. Instead they try and destroy works of art society is trying to preserve for future generations. It's just crazy to think that these people are actually on the side of the environment or humanity. Their actions are in direct contradiction to that. It's a bunch of useful idiots being lead along, doing a bunch of shit that doesn't make sense.
It's largely a manufacturing problem and a corporate problem. They've clearly convinced you that turning off your lights and not leaving your fridge door open for more than 1.32 seconds is making a positive impact. When in reality that has 0 impact at all, it never has, the individual can not stop this. It needs to be regulated out of business. That's a process that's moving far to slowly. This is a problem of government. These people at Stop Oil that are directly impacting voters? They aren't helping get these issues addressed. Perhaps you've noticed how powerful politicizing "Spite" is in the USA? Those people will kill themselves to own a libcuck.
I could litter and produce as much carbon emissions as I want but I'll never be able to get within a millionth of the pollution a corporation like Nestle producing a billion plastic bottles a year while stripping forrest for more sugar production and fresh water harvesting to sell back to us at a premium.
It has taken 50 years after we discovered global warming to mandate electric cars....
