The 2021 Pedalhounds Enduro series continues with round 2 from Matterley Estate in Hampshire, England. The Pedalhounds series is one that always makes the most of the venues they have, the South of England is not exactly famous for its massive elevation changes. This does not however stop the Pedalhounds team from carving out 5 fun stages for each of their races. The format of the series is a little different from other Enduro series with 3 laps of the 5 stages done per rider and then the best 2 times from each stage being added together to give your overall time. The racing is also done blind, with no practice and often on private land. This all adds to the change of these races. The biggest stand out for me at every Pedalhounds event is the fun factor. Everyone racing is always having a good time and with the sunshine and dry trails that greeted riders at round 2 in Matterley Estate the field of 309 riders were in for a fun day of racing.
Riders started in batches and sent out to different stages to keep social distancing possible.
