The second Round of the Montenbaik Latin American series made history in Brasil. 120 riders got to the second round in Urubici that was held by Brazil Enduro Series. Mostly Brazilian attendees were from different cities, but we also had the assistance of two riders and 10 Chileans, a couple of Paraguayans formed foreigners who arrived in Santa Catarina Urubici.

The race had three special tests each day with a sum of 2000 meters of downhill.
Special Stages were very different with a very green landscape full of pine, grass meadows, forests and fed rock that didn't let the riders blink.
Weather accompanied us in a very good way, the first day we had a wonderful sunny day, the second day was raining. This left the special stages with very slippery mud that didn't dry throughout the race.
With these tremendous contrast, the round went through.
In the Pro category the locals dominated the first three places, with André Bretas 29: 05.1 in the first place, followed by Diego Knob 29: 05.9 and Nataniel Giacomozzi 29: 30.5.
Andreas Kukulis concentrated among pre-departure Special Stage Repollo. In fourth place came the Chilean Andreas Kukulis 29: 38.7 who like the whole Masterbikes team race blindly. Fifth arrived Lucas Aves with a time 29: 40.6.
The other representatives of Masterbikes Milciades Jaque 30: 10.6 and Pablo Maldonado 31: 42.5 finished seventh and eighth respectively.
Flo Espiñeira was unstoppable! Females were dominated by Chilean Florence Espiñeira 35: 46.6 who took almost 6 minutes over her nearest competitor. Beatriz Diniz who was followed by Isabella Ribeiro 43: 46.8.
The 5 Women Riders: Beatriz Diniz, Raquel Rodrigues, Isabella Ribeiro, Anne Espiñeira Gutwein and Florence. In Master A local Cleber Cagiano 30: 50.5, Evandro Dias 31: 07.0, Anderson Robl 32: 26.0 made the one two three.
Daniel Franco with Juan Esteban Toledo and William and Guillermo Castro before the start of one of the stages. Fifth came the Chilean Juan Esteban Toledo 32: 33.4 who is starting to race enduro after having had a distinguished career in XC and DH in the 90 and 2000.
Guillermo Castro catching a rider. The other two Chilean Guillermo Castro and Daniel Franco ended 16 and 28 respectively.
Claus Plaut dealing with the off camber and wet roots! Master B legend Claus Plaut Guzman 31: 29.7 dominated the whole weekend with broken toe, ahead of Norman Pereira by 2:30 minutes. Third Nassaralla Helio came with 36: 37.1
Claus Plaut Jr, surprised everyone with his technical and local speed. The Junior class was also dominated by Claus Plaut Garcia 34: 59.3 who surpassed Rafael Lanna by 4:20 minutes. Third Matheus Paiva came with a time of 40: 58.3
The podium in the Pro men. 1: Andre Bretas, 2: Diego Knob, 3: Nathaniel Giacomozzi, 4: Andreas Kukulis, 5: Lucas De Borda.
The event exceeded our own expectations in terms of tracks, organization and the riding level of Brazilian riders.
