• Material: Full Carbon Fibre hand-laid Toray fibres unidirectional.
• Wheelsize: 29" front and rear or 27.5+" rear using offset bushing.
• Fork Travel: 140-150mm. Rear Travel: 135mm.
• Included: Cable/Hose protector sleeves beneath BB. Rockguardz under frame protection. Spare gear hanger kit.

It’s been a year since we revealed our new prototype Pace RC295 and since then we’ve been putting in the hard miles, sweating the details, and buffing the design for production. And now we’re ready- tooled up and fired up with the first production frame out of the mould and ready for assembly with our latest 2020 build kits. Like our other framesets, the RC295 will now be available as an Ultimate Rolling Chassis, Factory Ultimate complete bike build (as well as a Custom Build Option) and of course a Frame only option but within that frame kit we thought that a premium product like this should come fully loaded.

We’ve equipped our Pace frame with the Rockshox Deluxe RT3, factory tuned to complement the kinematics of the ‘295 with the shock and also featuring an Offset Bushing to allow adjustment of the bikes ride height and compliment your choice of 29er or 27.5”+ rear wheel.

The frame also comes equipped with a top drawer finishing kit- Thru Axle from DTSwiss, Seatclamp from Hope and a complete spare Pace Gear Hanger Kit.

For protection, we’re also including a full-size carbon fibre frame protector for the underside of the mainframe custom moulded by Rockguardz, plus a pair of Armour Tubes to protect the cables and hoses beneath the BB.

All the above package is available for £1899. Pre-order open now. Delivery: All sizes due in January.

Colour: Gloss raw carbon finish with a matte night khaki stickers (under a matte lacquer). Only available in this colour.

Amazing they can sell this at £1.9k when the market seems to price a frame like this around £3k without all the extras like the rockguardz.

Slap a 150mm fork and the geo gets really really close to a Stumpjumper Evo on high mode.
Funny how when those came out last year everyone was like "they're mad! That thing is unrideable! Steering too slack! BB too low to pedal!"

FAO Bike Industry, can we have a single standard that defines the way in which seat tube angle and top tube length are measured. Measure the top tube length and seat tube angle at a defined seat height, which is based on the expected rider height for that size.

I was all in on the rolling chassis option but a BB Height of 327! Yep that’s low, I test rode an S-150 which was quoted at 345 & constantly tw@t’d the pedals on that! Where can I test ride one??

Yep they’re not only brands to fail with low bbs

My ibis mojo was always bashing rocks etc even at correctly set up trail sag of 25-30%

Good for PACE Cycles for sticking in business and having a go as this looks interesting compared with so many pricier option
Maybe I’ll just find myself looking at their site sooner rather than too late ;-)

If you're managing to damage the underneath of you BB then maybe don't buy this bike and use the money for cycle coaching.

@fatduke: thats total bollox. You can't stop rocks hitting the underside of the bb especially when riding on scree. The pace has addressed the issue well though with supplying armour for the cables.

So you are saying that if you ride in the Peaks (Beast, Spud Alley, Cavedale, Stanage Edge, just to name a few), you don't have a great chance of something hitting your BB tube, either yourself dropping something big or a rock strike? Maybe you just ride smooth blue lines...

They used to be pretty big in the UK, a big innovator in the early days of XC and also dabbled with downhill frame design as well. They were renowned for their "square" tubed hardtail XC frames mainly and of course their carbon XC fork and triple crown fork.

They come from 'the town of Yorkshire' according to Mountain Bike Action'. IIRC one couldn't get butted aluminum tubes in the late 80's (or so Pace claimed), so they used square tubes because they could externally mill away material that was not needed. They also had a precursor to the modern headset, but the adjustment was done under the fork crown, with the stem and steerer being one piece. God I'm an old dork.....
