This Christmas we want to introduce you to Pinkbike's Operation Share the Ride. Don't know what Operation Share The Ride is? Don't worry, neither did we 2 days ago, but with the help of great friends and bikers we all made it something fantastic.
Check back in a few days when we'll show you video, photos, and explain how in 2 days we got 100 bikes, built them, and delivered them to kids in time for Christmas.
man that really brings a tear to my eye, that you guys really care about the kids that dont have as much as we do, and you would care enough to clollect all of these bikes and ship them off to those kids, let god bless you and your family this holiday season
PROPS pinkbike, i got a few extra parts i'll donate to you if you are interested, its nothing great but they are good parts and i have no use for them and i'd rather see them go to a good cause then be wasted. just email me if you want them. ridin_my_hardtail@yahoo.com
This is a great example of what we should all be doing for others. I admit that I've done nothing this winter to help others (other than donating a bunch of my daughters old toys to other kids) and love to see positive stories about people in our community. Thanks Pinkbike for setting a great example for all the other corporations out there! Hopefully we all follow!
man this is why you guys are the best, its not the fact that you give the entire world the best website in the world allowing all of us to connect on a global level (just look at all the countries on the posts above, even though most are canadian) but your using it to give kids who might otherwise have nothing or very little something they can have that will bring them into a whole new world, even if its not ripping a train your giving them there first mode of transportation. you guys and girls really brought this christmas into perspective by doing that, huge reps, merry christmas
wow way to share the wealth man.
i love 2 see ppl helpin out in any way they can
i give all my old bikes 2 little kids i know and its the best feeling in the world to see them riding it.
good job on makin the kids happy
merry christmas to all
great idea, couldnt imagine how happy they all would of been lol. I also seen other sites set up donation funds for children help organizations where you were able to donate money. I was wondering maybe next year you guys could start a fund raiser, and if everyone chipped in atleast a dollar, pinkbike could raise a descent ammount. Just an idea i thought id pass by
yeah yeah pinkbike. rocking out some new future rippers + getting the old name out there. congrats. merry christmas or haunuka(spellin?) everyone. Looking forward to the new season of killin it. (ps. keep a watch out for a 07 kona review coming up soon here)
Will get pix up soon - when I am back in the Province! Way to go Chilliwack Crew - you guys came together for an awesome event -- Elan, Mike, Rob, Dan, Red, Gizzard - thanks for all your help!! Those little Chilliwack Rippers are having a great holiday on those shiny bikes!
wow this is great guys! youre killing 2 birds with one stone, 1) helping underprivileged kids get presents this year, 2) helping the biking community grow!
Amazing! This is the best Christmas story I've heard this year. Way to make Christmas super special for 100 kids and pass on the gift of cycling. You can be very proud.
Wow fantastic idea guys. It's even better that the kids will be able to use them right away since Calgary doesn't have any snow, toboggans would have been just plain cruel.
Not that I wasn't before, but this makes me so proud to be part of Pinkbike. Way to make this Christmas a memorable one for these kids. Happy Holidays everyone!
rocking out some new future rippers + getting the old name out there. congrats.
