Despite various changes by the UCI which make it increasingly more difficult and expensive for world-level development programs to operate, One Vision moves into 2018 and its 4th year of operation with confidence and great sponsor support. For 2018 One Vision stays with Nicolai Bikes and continues to ride the awesome Geometron bike range. For 2018 we welcome our new and exciting sponsor, Bosch. Bosch makes the motors for Nicolai EBoxx electric bikes, which as of this winter, have become an important part of our riders' training regime. As downhill racers, being able to do more of the right kind of riding in the same amount of time, in the difficult British winter, has proven to be a very valuable asset! The team can't wait for 2018 and the challenges ahead.

In 2018 the One Vision crew will race the full World Cup series, Crankworx Innsbruck and Crankworx Les Gets, various British events including the British round at Fort William, National Championships at Glencoe and the new and exciting Proper Downhill Series. We will also race the final two EWS rounds in Spain and Italy. It’s going to be a busy year of racing! Here is our awesome Nicolai Geometron G19 race machine in its 2018 colours:

The team has four riders for 2018 headed up by team owner Jack Reading. In 2017 Jack had some great success and is super excited for 2018:

bigquotesI had my best ever season last year which was awesome! I'm always buzzing with top 20 results at world cup level, so I was really happy with 18th at Lenzerheide and 19th at Leogang. I got to represent British Cycling at the World Championships in Cairns, Australia, where I finished 25th with a 12th top split, which was sick. To race 'Worlds' has been a lifetime dream of mine! Two podium finishes in the British Downhill Series saw me 4th in the overall rankings. I’m keeping the Optometrist clinic work pretty limited so that I can fully focus on training, racing and running the team. I tweaked my training program this winter and am feeling great going into the season! My aims for this year are top 20s, my first top 10 result and to represent at Worlds again. I love racing, competing and ultimately riding my Nicolai's with the lads, so I’ll be happy when summer is here and we can get down to business! Big shout outs to my Dad, Phil, who co-owns and manages the team with me, and my awesome mechanic Chad Boxall who'll be at the races with me this year turning the tools!Jack Reading

George Gannicott, Will Jones and Myles James stay with One Vision for 2018. George and Will are racing World Cups and have been working hard all winter riding and training. George is aiming for a strong recovery season after a bad knee injury in 2017. Expect to see his name somewhere in that top 40 from the get-go! Will hopes to gain some consistency in the top 60 throughout the year now he is fully recovered from the broken shoulder he picked up in Andorra last year. Myles is the team’s development rider and has just finished his first season with the team and also a very successful first year in the elite category. He is aiming to build speed and join the lads at world cup level in the coming years.

Along with Nicolai and Bosch, the team has fantastic support for the 2018 season from these great companies: O’Neal, Gusset Components, Schwalbe Tyres, Hope Technology, MRP, Works Components, Clif Bar, Crank Brothers, Rock Guardz, ESP, Trail Tools and Kingud. A huge thanks to all of these guys for keeping our great program running so efficiently! The whole team is extremely excited for the year ahead and keen to get to the races and send it!

Reading flys well under the radar but gets some pretty awesome results considering he isnt a full-time paid racer.

Bikes colours / build looks awesome for 2018 too, wasnt keen on the blue.
